- Based in the heart of San Francisco, this return Adventure Nannies family describes themselves as a kind, loyal family who work hard to balance professionalism and fun. They have a 2-year-old son and a new baby on the way this October! Their son will start Montessori school full-time in the fall, and the family will have the support of a night nanny beginning in October as they transition to life as a family of four. This candidate can anticipate tag teaming with the mom to care for the newborn while the toddler is at school and support the care of both children on the weekends.
- These dual-career parents are in and out of the house on a regular basis, so a candidate who is comfortable collaborating daily with parents and their other nanny is important. They love to travel whenever possible throughout the year both on domestic and international adventures and are thrilled to begin bringing the newest member of their family with them! The family deeply values a high level of communication within their home and places an emphasis on striking a balance between autonomy and partnership with their caregiver. They are excited to welcome an infant and toddler-savvy nanny to their home who can provide well-rounded care and grow with their children for years to come!
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for an experienced candidate who has a strong background in caring for infants and toddlers in the same role. A candidate who is attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about playing an integral role in a child’s early stages of development will thrive in this position. Flexibility and an adventurous spirit will also be valued, as the nanny will provide support both at home and on their frequent travels! The family hopes to work with a nanny who considers professionalism, discretion, reliability, and open and honest communication as pillars of their character. A step-in and step-out intuition will also be appreciated to both take the lead and be a guide and resource, as well as let the parents take the lead and jump in during the day for fun activities.
- Responsibilities include creating a safe and loving environment for the children to grow and thrive! This includes but is not limited to proactively researching and implementing developmentally-minded care, child-related tidying and organizing, child-related meal prep (both bottles and solids), children’s laundry, and light household tidying. Someone who can pitch in and leave the home clean and organized will be valued.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate with NCS or doula training, and/or a candidate who has extensive travel nanny experience.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Experience traveling with families and children
- Experienced caring for an infant and toddler in a previous position(s) and knowledge of age-appropriate developmental milestones
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws
