CLOSED - Proactive, Professional Rotational Nanny Needed For California Family

A laidback family of four based in beautiful Santa Barbara is seeking a rotational nanny to join their team!

• Location: Santa Barbara, CA
• Ages of children: Two school-age children
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, rotational schedule. Flexibility for frequent travel will be key!
• Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $100-125k/year dependent on candidate experience. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is providing benefits including paid time off, health insurance, sick days, retirement benefits, and relocation assistance.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in while on duty. A private apartment on the family’s property will be provided during working rotations. Candidates are welcome to commute into Santa Barbara from Los Angeles or the surrounding area!
• Other Notes: The family does not have a vehicle available for professional use, and will require candidates to use their own vehicle while working. The family is happy to contribute to mileage and car insurance costs.

Household dynamic:

• Based in beautiful Santa Barbara County, this warm, welcoming, and casual family is excited to find a nanny to join their team! The family has two athletic, creative, and playful young kids who like to be outside and explore, hang out with friends, and do lots of activities. They get along well, attend school when in California, and are supported by a private educator for their schooling when they travel. The family has horses at home, so comfort with animals is key!
• While they love spending time outdoors on their beautiful property, the family travels frequently and lives an on-the-go lifestyle! Someone who is excited to travel alongside the family to their other residence in California, as well as domestically and internationally throughout the year will be key. This is a fully staffed environment, including a private chef, executive household staff, and nannies, so candidates who are excited to collaborate with other team members will be a wonderful addition to the team!

• This position is ideal for a candidate who has a warm presence and brings a strong sense of professionalism to their role! Someone who brings their calm, positive, and proactive energy to each day, and is excited to support the family in having as much time together as possible will be a wonderful team member. A candidate who is intuitive, travel-ready, and attuned to the children’s needs will be a great fit alongside this close-knit family and team. This role will primarily focus on ensuring the children are safe and their needs are met, and the ideal candidate will be confident in managing children’s belongings, cooking basic meals, and preparing for and joining in on travel!
• This is a child-focused role, and all responsibilities will be child-related. Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child(ren) to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas and belongings, errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities and playdates, packing/unpacking, and supporting travel throughout the year.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has experience traveling as a nanny and/or who has worked on a nanny team in past roles!

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Knowledge and experience with school-age children
• Experience traveling with families and children
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
• Pet friendly!
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws
