CLOSED - Proactive Nanny/Family Assistant Needed For Driven, Fun Connecticut Family

An active, busy family based in Rowayton, CT is seeking a lively, pitch-in nanny/family assistant to join them in caring for their 3 and 5-year-old children!

• Location: Rowayton, CT
• Ages of children: 5 and 3 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 53 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday between 7am and 6pm, with an 8am start time on Tuesday and Thursday. Flexibility for occasional travel will be asked and appreciated!
• Compensation: The family is offering $30-35/hour based on the 53-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $93-108k/year range. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, personal days, a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package. A vehicle will be provided for professional use!
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out.

• These dedicated parents and their two playful daughters are seeking a nanny to join their down-to-earth yet bustling crew! Their daughters are described by their parents as being sweet, active, and headstrong. At 5 years old, their eldest daughter is very imaginative, and loves to learn! She is a fairly typical first child and generally likes to abide by the rules. Their youngest is strong-willed, fun-loving, and super playful! She likes to draw outside of the lines and create her own reality. Candidates who love to create an engaging, active environment for young children will thrive alongside their family and mesh well with the children! Their 5-year-old daughter attends school full-time, while their 3-year-old is attending a part-time program a few mornings each week.
• As a dual-career household, they are eager to find a candidate who can be a true partner to parents and a fun playmate for their children. When they aren’t working, the parents love cooking big meals and spending time together as a family. A candidate who can join the family on their travels for a couple of weeks each year will be valued- they enjoy taking annual ski and beach vacations. They would love for their nanny to be a part of their family!

• Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, and errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties are running errands, light meal preparation (ie, washing and chopping veggies), grocery shopping, occasionally coordinating vendors, and tidying of common areas.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate with an educational background or previous experience working in a hybrid nanny/family assistant role!

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Knowledge and experience with preschool and early elementary-age children
• Willingness to pitch in with family assisting duties
