Household dynamic:

  • This kind and open-minded return Adventure Nannies family is looking forward to finding a family assistant/ household manager to join their team! This family is beginning a new chapter and is settling into a new home in Austin. They have a sweet, smart, sensitive, willful, and playful 8-year-old daughter!
  • This family loves learning, and curiosity is one of their family values. They enjoy trying new foods and traveling whenever they get the chance and have some exciting travel plans for the upcoming year. Both parents have commitments outside of the home, so a candidate who thrives with independence but collaborates and communicates well will thrive. An experienced, proactive household manager and family assistant who is excited to jump right in and support the needs of the family and household will be a wonderful addition to their team!

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone who is excited to support the needs of a bustling, warm household! As the family is moving into a new home and getting set up, a candidate who can proactively research and manage vendors will be key, as well as someone who is comfortable managing basic family assistant duties like home organizing, grocery shopping, and meal prep. Someone who brings previous experience with family or personal assisting and/or household management will be valued. While there are no nanny duties, someone who can confidently interact with and occasionally support the family’s 8-year-old is essential. Maintaining the home (scheduling vendors and establishing cleaning and maintenance routines) will be key, so any experience managing a building or physical office would be relevant.
  • Responsibilities include scheduling and managing household vendors and maintenance, household and child-related inventory, from stocking the pantry to sorting through children's belongings on a seasonal basis, grocery shopping, and light meal prep.
  • Candidates who are confident pitching in with appointment scheduling and occasional personal assistant duties will be appreciated as needed!

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Family assistant, household management, or personal assistant experience
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws
  • A safe, experienced driver with a clean driving record
