CLOSED - Engaged, Playful + Confident Rotational Nanny/Family Assistant Needed For Loving Bay Area Family

A friendly and professional family based in the Bay Area is seeking a creative, fun-loving, and activity-oriented rotational nanny/ family assistant to join their team!

• Location: Burlingame, CA
• Ages of children: 4 and 6 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit
• Schedule: Full-time, rotational schedule of 2 days on/2 days off, 5 days on/ 5 days off. Candidates will work every Monday and Tuesday and every other weekend (Friday to Sunday), and can anticipate working 11-13 hours per day while on duty between the hours of 7am and 8pm.
• Compensation:The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $115-150k/year dependent on the candidate's experience. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including a health insurance stipend, relocation assistance, and a vehicle for professional use based on candidate needs and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family may be open to providing a landing pad for the perfect relocation candidate!

Household dynamic:

• This warm, energetic, and easy-going Bay Area family has two active and joyful kids! Their 6-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter get along great and love to laugh, run, play card games, and study the world around them. Their 6-year-old is into soccer and basketball, while their 4-year-old daughter loves princesses, superheroes, and imaginative play. This family is educationally-minded and has a house full of books that the children often pick up and flip through on their own. Both kids enjoy being independent and like to dress themselves and help with chores around the house such as watering the plants, cooking, and baking.
• Creativity and exploration are highly valued in this household and they love to do art projects, talk about how things work, and visit science museums to nurture their curiosity. These dual-career parents hope to encourage their children to become lifelong learners, and multiple languages are spoken in their home, including English, Hebrew, and Chinese. When they have the chance, the family enjoys traveling a couple of times per year and looks forward to bringing a travel-ready nanny with them on any future trips!

A candidate who brings a developmentally-minded approach to the day and proactively researches and implements activities and educational play while supporting the children’s curiosity and exploration will thrive alongside the family. • A candidate who is a team player and open to both nanny and family assisting duties will be appreciated! Responsibilities include providing a safe environment for the children to grow and thrive, children’s meal prep, child-related tidying and inventory, some children’s laundry, bathtime, school drop-off, and pick-up, and driving to activities as needed. When the kids are in school, the family will appreciate support with picking up dry cleaning, family laundry, grocery shopping, as well as planning educational activities and family meal prep.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has travel experience!

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with the preschool through elementary age range
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
• Up to date on all vaccinations for the duration of employment (e.g. COVID, Tdap, MMR, TB, Flu)
