This lively, warm return Adventure Nannies family is seeking a rotational nanny to join their team in Santa Barbara!
- Location: Just outside of Santa Barbara, CA
- Ages of children: 7, 5, and 3 years old
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, rotational schedule of 1 week on/1 week off or similar. Candidates can anticipate providing 24/7 coverage while on duty, though typical working hours will fall between 7am and 10pm.
- Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $120-125+k/year, dependent on the candidate’s experience. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits, including health and dental insurance, matching 401k contributions, and relocation/travel assistance as needed. A vehicle will be provided for professional use.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-in or out while on rotation. For live-in, the family will provide a separate living space on their property that includes a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and laundry. While not on rotation, this is a live-out role.
- Other Notes: The family has a preference for local candidates familiar with the Santa Barbara area but is open to considering candidates who would fly in and out for their rotations.

- This spontaneous, close-knit family is seeking another proactive, organized, and growth-minded nanny to join their crew! At ages 7, 5, and 3 years old, their children are described as being joyful and curious kids who love to explore. All three kids attend school full-time on weekdays. The family enjoys working with caregivers who can foster their children’s interests and would love to find someone who can walk alongside them as they discover themselves and the world. They have a lot of outdoor space at their home, which includes a few dogs and a “farm crew” of animals!
- They love to travel frequently throughout the year, spending extended time at their residences in Massachusetts and Montana. Someone who is travel-ready and can join in on their many adventures will be essential! This family has an “it takes a village” mentality and seeks to foster a nurturing, communicative dynamic for their kids and staff alike. They work with a team that includes another full-time nanny, a chef, and a housekeeper, and a family assistant – and have two other employees who work on their farm and property. The parents are both in and out regularly and appreciate working with nannies who are collaborative!

Someone who is calm and collaborative and who fosters a nurturing environment for children that makes space for big feelings, supports emotional development, and empowers the children to find their independence will thrive in this role. The family is drawn to child-led, Montessori-inspired learning and activities and hopes to meet a candidate who is excited to get creative with planning enrichment and outdoor activities on their property! A professional nanny who can anticipate needs, read the room, and know when to step in and out with the kids will be appreciated. Experience working on a team is essential.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to healthy meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
- The family would love to work with a candidate with experience supporting children with ADHD.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with preschool and elementary school-age children
- Experience traveling with families and children
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Experience working in a team or fully-staffed environment
- Knowledgeable and confident in supporting children with ADD/ADHD
- Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
- Pet friendly!
