A dynamic, creative family in Austin, TX is seeking a confident, Spanish or Mandarin-speaking rotational nanny to join them in caring for their children
- Location: Austin, TX
- Ages of children: 2.5 years old and 4 years old. The family is expecting their third child this fall!
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, rotational schedule of 1 week on, 1 week off. Candidates can expect to work 12 hours per day on weekdays while on rotation and 24 hours on the weekend. Flexibility for evenings, travel, and occasional overnight shifts during the rotation will be key for the right candidate!
- Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $90-110+k/year dependent on candidate experience. The family looks forward to adjusting their compensation package when they welcome their third child.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance.

Household dynamic:
- This active family of four enjoys traveling and exploring the great outdoors whenever the opportunity arises! Their children, 2.5 and 4 years old, enjoy listening to music, doing arts and crafts, and building. They use a child-led, Montessori approach with their kids and would enjoy working with someone who shares these values. Both children attend school full-time during the day, but are off for the month of August.
- The family’s home is fully staffed and the family team environment is collaborative, upbeat, and ideal for self-starters! Both parents are in and out of the home regularly and would appreciate working with a candidate who is collaborative, team-oriented, and able to step in and out intuitively.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for a candidate who speaks Spanish or Mandarin and is attuned to the children and family’s needs! Someone who is well-versed with the infant through early elementary years, happy to travel alongside the family, and brings a calm confidence in working alongside a team will be a great fit. A candidate who has an adaptable, adventure-ready mentality and brings a positive, professional demeanor to their role will be a wonderful addition to the nanny team. Someone who is organized and can support structure and routines for the children will be essential!
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family frequently throughout the year. Someone who is willing to jump in with family assisting tasks and errands as needed will be appreciated!
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Valid passport and driver’s license
- Knowledge and experience with the infant and toddler through early elementary years
- Fluent in Spanish or Mandarin
- Flexible to travel with the family throughout the year
- Fully-staffed home experience a plus
