CLOSED - Travel-Ready, Rotational Nanny Needed For Family In Littleton, CO

An active family based in Littleton, CO is seeking a rotational nanny team to join them in caring for their two-year-old and baby on the way!

• Location: Littleton, CO
• Ages of children: 22 months old, expecting a new addition in Jan 2023!
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Rotational position of two weeks on and two weeks off, 24/7 on-call coverage while on duty. The family will happily provide daily breaks and downtime during the on weeks.
• Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $100-125k/year dependent on candidate experience. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid holidays, health, dental, and vision insurance, matching 401k contributions, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in while working. Current nanny accommodations include private bedroom and en-suite bathroom within the family’s home. The family is planning to build private, separate nanny accommodations this year. The family is open to both candidates who would live out locally during their off weeks and may consider candidates who would fly in and fly out if they were a perfect fit.

Household dynamic:

• This adventurous family, along with their two sweet dogs, has a passion for travel and outdoor sports and activities! Their almost 2-year-old son loves to explore the world around him, whether playing in the backyard or out on a beach adventure surfing with his parents.
• They frequently visit their properties in Utah, Michigan, and Mexico via private travel, and look forward to enjoying time in Europe as well. The family has been happily working alongside their caregivers to foster an independent, adventurous environment both while at home and on the road and enjoy child-led approaches similar to RIE, Montessori, and forest school methodologies. They look forward to working with a team of two rotational nannies to continue to create space for their children to thrive.

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for a candidate who is ready for an adventure, who is a team player, and is passionate about working with infants and toddlers! A candidate who can bring independence and flexibility to the role, an excitement to travel, and familiarity with working on a household team or in a rotational role will be an asset for this family. The family would be thrilled to find a candidate with a love for outdoor activities and sports as well, and who enjoys getting young ones outside for child-led exploration.
• Responsibilities for the role include frequent travel, creating space for and supporting an intrepid, child-led environment, light child-related housekeeping and laundry, and children's meal preparation. A willingness to pitch in where needed will be appreciated in addition to a candidate who knows when to take the confident lead, as well as step back when appropriate.
• As the family spends a lot of time at their property in Mexico, a candidate who speaks Spanish would be a huge benefit for their family. The family would also love to work with a candidate who snowboards and/or has a background in early childhood education and/or familiarity with child-rearing approaches such as RIE and Montessori, who can be a part of their child’s growth for years to come!

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Travel experience
• Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care.
• Experience working in a team or fully-staffed environment
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would like to work with someone who has experience working in a team or fully-staffed environment
