Thoughtful, Team-Oriented Nanny/Family Assistant Needed For Welcoming Boston Family

An inviting, cheerful family based in Boston, MA is seeking an engaging, thoughtful, and caring nanny/family assistant to join their home and care for their 4-year-old boy!

• Location: Boston, MA
• Ages of children: 4 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40-50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 7:30pm. Flexibility for additional hours, evenings, weekends, and travel will be asked in advance and appreciated!
• Compensation: The family is offering $35/hour based on the 40-50 hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $73-100k/year range dependent on experience and the agreed upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, a museum membership, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family is happy to offer a temporary landing pad for relocation candidates, with the option to extend as live-in long-term if it is a great match for all parties.

• This loving mom describes her family of two as open, team-oriented, whimsical, and passionate! They thrive on a balance of structure and free-form play in their day-to-day routines and are always on the look out for fun-filled, enriching activities to take part in.
• Her 4-year-old is exceptionally bright and curious, excels at learning, memory, and languages (he is already proficient in Spanish, Farsi, Mandarin and Portuguese!), and is very active, from capoeira to swimming to tennis and more. He attends half-day Montessori school during the academic year. Mom is a professor, working mainly from the lab, with 1-2 days at home per week.
• The family travels for work and pleasure, and hopes to bring their nanny/family assistant along! Mom is passionate about ensuring that her son has plenty of opportunities to partake in a wide-range of activities, and that he grows up learning from people with diverse points of view. They are seeking a nanny/family assistant who can bring their open, thoughtful, intentional, and intuitive self to the role and this loving family team every day!

A candidate who can creatively guide their day-to-day activities and care will be key! • A candidate who enjoys wearing multiple hats and who has a drive to evolve their role into a family assistant/household manager capacity as their 4-year-old grows will be valued, as mom hopes to partner with her caregiver for years to come. Pitching in with various assisting tasks in a bustling household dynamic (such as meal prep, organization, calendar management, and more) will be appreciated!
• While not a requirement for the role, knowledge of Spanish, Farsi, and/or Mandarin and ability to develop their son’s already budding language skills is a plus for this family. A bachelor’s degree or higher is strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Comfortability preparing basic meals
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
• Cat friendly! Willing to support light pet care.
