Household dynamic:

  • This loving and playful family of four recently relocated from NYC to San Francisco and are seeking an engaging and dedicated nanny to join them! Their oldest son, at 2 years old, is described by his parents as playful, hilarious, sensitive, and gregarious. He adores music, puzzles, and anyone who engages with him and attends preschool during the week. At 8 months, their youngest is a quiet, radiant, cuddly little one who adores animals and peekaboo. While he is a bit behind on some development milestones, the family is committed to his growth and has enrolled him in speech and occupational therapy to support his progress. The family sees their nanny as a trusted and incredibly valued partner in their parenting journey. Someone who can create a fun, interactive, and stimulating environment for their active, energetic children will be a perfect fit! They also have a dog, so someone who is pet-friendly is essential.
  • This is a dual-career family where one parent works in an office while the other works from home in a dedicated office. They have other residences in Florida and Chicago and travel to either or both homes during school breaks. They also love traveling during summer to sunny destinations in Europe and Hawaii, and look forward to their nanny joining them. The family fosters a supportive environment at home and would appreciate a collaborative nanny who can work well alongside parents and other household staff including a housekeeper.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a confident, lively, and joyful nanny who is genuinely excited to nurture two spirited young children! The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative and playful approach to their care, ready to embrace the energy of a growing infant and an on-the-go toddler. A self-starting candidate who can create an engaging, developmentally-focused environment for the children and identify enriching opportunities for both of them to delve deeper into their interests, whether it’s solving puzzles, enrolling in local classes, or visiting the park, will thrive in this role! A candidate who can maintain open and respectful communication with both parents will be highly valued.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate with any of the following:
  • Experience in supporting children with developmental delays and engaging in early intervention therapies (speech, OT, etc.)
  • Flexibility to travel up to 6 weeks per year
  • Degree in a child or educational-related field

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
  • Comfortable preparing basic meals for the children
  • Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Dog-friendly!
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
