
This dynamic Bay Area family seeks a Spanish-speaking, travel-ready nanny to offer nurturing care and light Spanish lessons for their children in a fully staffed household.
- Location: Menlo Park, California
- Ages of children: 9 years old and an infant
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 48 hours per week. The candidate will work four days per week either from 7am to 7pm (day shift) or 7pm to 7am (overnight shift). The schedule will be set and consistent, but a candidate should be open to schedule changes and flexible to work both shifts with advanced notice.
- Compensation: The family is offering $48-$60/hour based on the 48-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of ~$130-162k+/year depending on the candidate's experience. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.

- Live-in/Live-out: Live out. The family may be open to providing a temporary landing pad for the perfect relocation candidate.

- This busy Bay Area family is seeking an experienced and organized Spanish-speaking nanny to join their team in caring for their children! This nanny will be joining their nanny team and will be responsible for looking after the family’s two children. Their infant is curious and sweet and their 9-year-old is described as respectful and advanced for his age. He enjoys reading, science, coding, and traveling. He attends homeschool full-time and is also active in extracurriculars. The family seeks a Spanish-speaking nanny who can support their children’s language development, providing formal lessons for their older son and informal learning opportunities for the baby, such as speaking and singing to the baby in Spanish. The family provides the language curriculum, and another nanny will train the candidate to implement the lessons. They look forward to working with a structured, travel-ready nanny who can create a nurturing and safe environment for their children.
- This family appreciates an organized and scheduled environment in their home and enjoys traveling on both international and domestic trips. When traveling, a candidate can anticipate trips from 3 to 10 days in length. A minimum of 7 days' notice will always be provided, though often more notice is given. An adaptable, on-the-go nanny who is excited to join the family adventures and is available for both day and night shifts will be key! This is a fully staffed home. A team-oriented nanny who can collaborate effectively with the family and other household staff will be essential!
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for a highly professional nanny who is structured, organized, and fluent in Spanish. A candidate who considers themselves calm and even-keeled will be valued. The ideal candidate will have the ability to toggle between nanny teams and provide care for either child, depending on the need that day. This is a formal and professional environment. The family will value a candidate who is confident and experienced in providing excellent childcare to infant and elementary-aged children.
- Responsibilities include all things child-related, from transportation to and from school and activities, maintaining schedules and routines, organizing kids' areas, and scheduling to tidying and packing for travel to ensure nothing is forgotten. A candidate who is confident traveling with families and providing sole-charge care will be key.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who possesses a degree and is comfortable swimming and caring for children in and around water.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Knowledge and experience with infants through elementary-age children
- Spanish fluency
- Teaching or tutoring experience
- Experience traveling with families and children, including prep and packing
- Experience working with high-profile families with security concerns, high-level of discretion, and strict adherence to NDA
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
