CLOSED - Proactive Rotational Nanny Needed For Adventurous NW Arkansas Family

A joyful, on-the-go, young family of five is looking for an experienced, warm, loving, energetic, and patient rotational nanny to join their existing nanny team!

• Location: Northwest Arkansas. The family also enjoys spending time in Austin, Aspen, and New York.
• Ages of children: 6, 3.5, and 1 years old. This is a team-oriented home and while not consistently a part of the day to day, candidates should be comfortable providing caring for all three children at once.
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, rotational schedule of 7-14 days on, 7-14 days off. Rotation length will vary depending on the family’s travel schedule. The candidate should be available to provide 24/7 support while on rotation.
• Compensation: Dependent upon the rotational schedule and total number of days worked, the family is offering a daily rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $90k-120k/year.
• Benefits: The family is happy to offer a competitive benefits package including medical/dental/vision insurance, HFSA and HSA contributions, paid sick leave, life insurance, disability coverage, wellness benefits, cell phone reimbursement, charitable gift matching program, 401(k) retirement plan, and additional benefits! Depending on the plan type, some of the medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums are 100% company-paid!
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in. A private nanny suite will be provided while on rotation, and accommodations will be provided while traveling.
• Other Notes: The family prefers to work with a candidate who is willing to relocate to NW Arkansas. They may be open to fly-in/fly-out for the ideal candidate!

Household dynamic:

• The family is looking for someone with a flexible schedule as they have a rather mobile lifestyle, that includes moving between homes and traveling. They would love to find someone who not only is able to travel, but would enjoy this part of the job (hiking, biking, sightseeing, wherever they may be), even with its unique demands. At times, the family will ask the nannies to travel with them; occasionally they will travel and want to leave their children at home with one or two of the nannies.
• The family needs someone who has the ability and stamina to work round the clock during rotation as necessary, whether it is at home or while traveling. The family is excited to add another rotational nanny to their team who will partner with their existing rotational nanny, a night/weekend nanny, and Monday-Friday weekday lead nanny.

• This position is ideal for a candidate who can help these wonderful kids blossom into curious, caring and respectful children. The family is excited to work with a nanny who seeks to develop their children’s curiosity and nurture their emotional growth!
• It’s very important to the family that their nanny is someone of the highest integrity who is modeling best behavior to their children – treating others respectfully, not preoccupied with screens and enjoying an active outdoor lifestyle. The family hopes to find a nanny who brings ideas about creative, educational and social activities for their children, wherever they may be.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has a educational background in a child or family related field.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create a nurturing and stimulating environment, reinforcing good behavior or decisions with positive praise
• Plan and prepare fresh and healthy snacks
• Assisting with hygiene and dressing, including baths, diapers, potty-training, etc.
• Coordinate age-appropriate activities, e.g. swim lessons, zoo/museums visits, storytime, etc.
• Foster independent play time
• Care for the children during overnight hours, assisting with sleep training as needed.
• Light housekeeping for children only, including tidying, laundry, clean up after meals, etc.
• Driving children to and from activities as needed
• Flexibility to work with parents to share childcare responsibilities. Recognize opportunities for core family time, remaining available but respectful of family’s privacy
• Assist with packing for trips, planning activities at destination and ensuring appropriate gear is available.
• In partnership with parents, instill good manners and a sense of responsibility in children.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience working with children.
• Preferred experience traveling domestically and internationally with families
• Positive attitude, proactive and organized
• Active and eager to spend time with children outdoors
• Team player, who can work well with other staff in a busy household
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Non-smoker
• Clean background check and drug tests
• College degree (preferred)
• Montessori experience (preferred)
• Current infant/child CPR and first-aid certificate
• Vaccinations (e.g. COVID, Tdap, MMR, Flu Shot)
• Must be comfortable with family dog
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally
