Proactive Nanny/Family Assistant Needed for Travel-Loving Denver Family

This travel-loving family of four based in Denver is seeking a warm, nurturing, and proactive nanny to provide loving care for their energetic 4 and 1-year-old children.

  • Location: Denver, CO
  • Ages of children: 1 and 4 years old
  • Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 5:45 pm. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, overnights, and travel is essential for this role and will be arranged in advance.
  • Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based on the 50-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $100-114k/year range.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-out.

  • This friendly family is excited to find a nanny/family assistant to support them! Their parents describe their two children, ages 4 and 1 year old, as sweet, energetic, and outgoing boys. Their 4-year-old attends a Montessori school part-time and loves seeing his friends and teachers daily. Someone who loves working with toddlers and is experienced in setting age-appropriate boundaries and planning fun, developmental opportunities for young toddlers. A nanny who is excited for a long-term opportunity and to grow into more of a family assisting role will be a great fit for this family.
  • The parents love to travel, learn, be outdoors, and try new things. They enjoy visiting destinations like Steamboat Springs, CO, New York, the Bahamas, and the Adirondacks, and the nanny will join them on trips about 3-5 times per year! Both parents have full professional lives and work outside the home during the day. They hope to foster a relaxed, informal, fun, and supportive environment in their home and family life. They look forward to adding a candidate to the team who can support this vision and be a strong member of their family team!

  • This position is ideal for a candidate who takes a collaborative, communicative approach to partnering with parents and is excited to support their household and growing children! Someone who brings a proactive, high-energy, and warm approach to care and can balance providing a playful environment for the kids with keeping the household running smoothly will be a great fit. The family is excited to find someone with whom they can work for years to come. A candidate who brings professionalism, knowledge of child development, discretion, and confidence will be a great fit.
  • Responsibilities include providing a warm and developmentally appropriate environment, organizing the children’s belongings, children’s laundry, and meal prep. A willingness to with family assisting duties (e.g., grocery shopping and stocking the pantry, light errands, child-related shopping, research projects, and light pet care)
  • While not a requirement for the role, they would love to work with someone familiar with Montessori!

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for the toddler and preschool years
  • Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care
