Position Filled - Proactive, Confident Family Assistant/Nanny Needed For Loving Seattle Family

A bustling family of four based in Seattle, WA is seeking a confident, professional Family Assistant/Nanny to join their household team!

• Location: Seattle, WA
• Ages of children: 7 and 5 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 7pm or similar. Flexibility for schedule changes based on school/work schedules, overnights, and extended travel to destinations like Hawaii and Idaho with as much advance notice as possible is essential. The family looks forward to collaborating with their candidate on a schedule that supports everyone!
• Compensation: The family is offering $40-45+/hour resulting in a guaranteed base compensation of $90-110+k/year before overtime and travel pay, bonus opportunities, and annual raises.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, and relocation based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family will provide private and separate accommodations while traveling.

Household dynamic:

• • Their 7-year-old is described by his parents as being extremely focused, curious, loving, and smart, with an amazing encyclopedia-like memory and over the top math skills. When he’s not absorbing knowledge, playing with legos, and playing board games, especially Monopoly! At times, he gets frustrated with writing and other activities that are challenging and needs time to regroup. Their 5 year old is deeply empathetic, joyful, curious and kind. She loves drawing and other art, doing puzzles and playing pretend play. She gets frustrated when her hands can't keep up with what she sees in her head with her art. A candidate who is excited to create an environment that nurtures their curiosity, and be an engaging, calm, confident caregiver will fit right in with this loving crew!
  • This home is a bustling, loving, and fun environment! Both parents are regularly at home during the day, and the family employs other household staff. The ideal candidate will work seamlessly as a part of this family’s team. The family loves to travel, and they enjoy jetting off to exciting new locations when the opportunity presents itself and are excited to find a candidate to join in on their adventures. The family has a labradoodle at home, and a love for dogs is a must!

• • This position is ideal for a candidate who is communicative, confident, a team player, and proactive! A candidate who is resourceful, organized, and can effectively coordinate the family’s needs, from family assisting duties, to collaborating and communicating with teachers and tutoring while the family travels will be key. Someone with a can-do, see-a-need, fill-a-need attitude will thrive in this role!
  • Responsibilities include a mix of nannying and family assisting duties, like grocery shopping, meal prep, household management support, personal assistant tasks, trip planning, traveling with the family, and pet care for the family dog. Professionalism, confidence in care, and ability to be a reliable, respectful, kind, and adaptable caregiver and asset to the household will be with the family for years to come!

Qualifications:

• • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
  • Family assisting experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport or ability to attain one upon hire
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
  • Experience traveling with families and children
  • Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care.
