A Tribeca family is seeking a fun, nurturing nanny to join them in caring for their 4- and 7-year-old girls!
- Location: Tribeca, New York, NY
- Ages of children: 7 and 4 years old
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit! The family is hoping to find someone who can join them beginning in September 2022.
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing between 30-38 hours per week with the general schedule falling on M-F, 1-7pm.
- Compensation: The family is offering $35-45/hour based on the 30-38 hour/week schedule, commensurate with experience.

Household dynamic:
- An open, energetic family is seeking a nanny to join them as they settle back into NYC life. Having spent the last years outside of the city, they are eager to begin rebuilding their lives and look forward to finding a nanny to support their children and become a part of their team!
- At ages 7 and 4, their eldest is precocious, funny, and quick-witted, and their youngest is understated yet hilarious. Both sisters enjoy spending time together and will bond with a caregiver who brings a playful and fun-loving yet structured energy to the role. Both girls attend school full time during the week, so the candidate will focus on school pick-up and managing after-school and evening routines.
- The family has had some wonderful experiences with past caregivers and hopes to foster a close, warm, and casual working environment in their home. Both parents are in and out of the house throughout the day and will at times be around the house and spend time with the children alongside the nanny.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for someone who balances fun-loving energy with setting structure and routine. The family has worked well with candidates who can create and maintain loving boundaries and manage transitions well. Their girls respond to warm, affectionate caregivers and will love a nanny who can play alongside them.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, basic children’s meal preparation, light child-related tidying, managing after-school transportation, activities, and routines, and being a general team player!
- Confidence in navigating NYC with two small children and understanding that their safety is the top priority at all times.
- While not a requirement, the family is happy to build up the role and hours for a candidate who brings cooking, organizing, or family assisting background to the role.
Qualifications:
- Local to the NYC area or prior experience living in NYC
- Valid driver's license and comfortable driving in the city
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
- Dog friendly! The family will be getting a small, hypoallergenic dog this fall.
