CLOSED - Playful + Educationally-Minded Nanny Needed For Outdoorsy Houston Family

An active and outgoing family in Houston, TX, is seeking a joyful, fun, and educational nanny to help care for their three bright daughters!

• Location: Houston, Texas
• Ages of children: 10.5, 6, and 6 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 12-8 pm. Additional hours for date nights and weekend support will be asked for in advance and appreciated!
• Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $73-83k/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance based on the candidate's need and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live out. The family is happy to provide a temporary landing pad within their home for the perfect relocation candidate.

Household dynamic:

• This warm and playful family has three fun-loving and well-behaved daughters! They each have their own unique personality and interests, but together they enjoy playing make-believe in their backyard, having a party for the dolls, and playing a variety of sports such as squash, tennis, golf, and soccer. All three girls attend school full-time and enjoy a variety of after-school activities. Their oldest daughter has ADHD which can impact her ability to focus on homework. A nanny who can help her stay on track with her studies and assignments will be valued. She is described by her parents as being super flexible, optimistic, and a ton of fun to be around, she just thrives with extra support! They also recently added a dog to the family! This family has had a great experience with their previous long-term nanny and looks forward to doing it again!
• These dual-career parents spend most of their days outside of the home and really value open communication and organization to ensure that things are moving smoothly each day. In their free time, they enjoy art, bike riding, and being active and outdoors. They also love to travel to places like Big Sky, Montana, Mexico, Jamaica, and Massachusets. Travel is not a requirement for this role, but the family is open to it. They also employ a full-time housekeeper who helps with cooking and cleaning and will occasionally help drive one of the kids to an activity.

• This position is ideal for an educationally-minded career nanny who enjoys being playful and fun, as well as having expectations and setting firm and loving boundaries with the girls. A candidate who is organized, capable of supporting a busy household, and has experience developing educational activities to keep the kids engaged and learning will thrive in this role! This family is seeking a partner to help raise kind, compassionate, confident children.
• Responsibilities include providing a safe and loving environment for the children to grow and thrive. This includes but is not limited to, transportation from school and to activities, managing the after-school activities calendar, engaging with homework and enrichment, and supplementing their learning at school with creative games at home. When the girls are at school, the candidate can spend time planning activities and running occasional errands. Most of the non-childcare tasks will be handled by the housekeeper. However, tidying behind the children, emptying the dishwasher, and picking up birthday gifts may come up from time to time.
• While not a requirement for this role, the family would love to work with a candidate who possesses a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge and experience with elementary-aged children
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
• Dog-friendly!
