Position Filled - Outdoor-Loving, Mindful + Kind-Hearted Nanny/Family Assistant Needed In Kauai

A warm, compassionate family based in beautiful Hawaii is seeking an outdoor-loving, calm, and mindful nanny/family assistant to care for their 8-year-old and 6-year-old children!

• Location: Kauai, HI and Geneva, Switzerland
• Ages of children: 6 and 8 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40+ hours per week with the general schedule falling on Tuesday through Saturday from 12pm to 6pm. Flexibility for two date nights/week, travel, overnights, and jumping in on morning routines if needed will be asked in advance and appreciated.
• Compensation and benefits: The family is offering $30-35+/hour in addition to benefits including a healthcare stipend, relocation assistance, PTO, and a vehicle for professional use equaling annualized compensation in the $65-80+k/year range for the perfect applicant.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-on property or live-out. The family is happy to provide a cottage on their property or a housing stipend/apartment off-site.

• Daily environment:
  • Based on the majestic island of Kauai, this family recently relocated from San Francisco and have been soaking up island living and enjoying all that their rural area has to offer. They are passionate about instilling values of kindness and respect in their children and are excitedly encouraging them to go after their dreams!Their children are affectionate, creative, smart and are two peas in a pod, and both attend school for 6 hours each day. The family is passionate about limiting screen time, getting the children outside and exploring the beaches after school, and fostering a healthy lifestyle.
  • The family is excited to add opportunities for adventure into their life wherever possible including traveling internationally and domestically and introducing their children to new experiences; including spending extended time skiing and adventuring at their home in Geneva!

• Ideal candidate:
  • This position is ideal for a nurturing, attentive, and down-to-earth nanny who is passionate about tailoring an enriching environment for growing, bright children and supporting a family as a whole!
  • A nanny/family assistant who can find age-appropriate, educationally-minded activities after school that foster the children’s interests and get them outside and active will be deeply valued in this home. While the children are in school, the day will include assisting with household tasks to ensure the home is running smoothly, such as closet organization, inventory management, running errands, prepping gluten-free meals, light tidying, prepping for evening routines and the next morning, and more!
  • The children get along well with someone who is engaging and can meet them at their level, and can provide a tranquil atmosphere to a bustling schedule. The family would love to work with a candidate who’d be excited to adventure with them to Europe a few months of the year and even consider joining them in Geneva where they are considering moving in fall of 2023, and are seeking a minimum of a 1-year commitment.

• Must haves:
  • At least 3 years of professional, full-time childcare experience
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Recent, applicable experience caring for elementary-aged children, with a strong sense of age-appropriate, educationally-minded activities
  • Proactive approach to planning activities and outings and managing schedules
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a talent for jumping in to fill a need and ensure the home is running smoothly
  • Flexible and able to adjust to variations in schedule with advanced notice, as well as to travel with the family throughout the year
  • Confident swimmer and comfortable caring for children in/around pools and the ocean
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws.
