Warm first-time parents in Laguna Beach are seeking an engaging, professional nanny to join them in caring for their toddler!

• Location: Laguna Beach, CA
• Ages of children: 1.5 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm or similar. Flexibility for occasional date nights, weekends, and travel will be essential!
• Compensation: Compensation: The family is offering $35-45/hour based on the 45 hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $82-111k/year dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance.
• Live-in/Live-out: Flexible to live in or live out. A private bedroom and bathroom on a separate floor with a courtyard and individual entrance will be provided.

• This relaxed and spontaneous CA-based family of three is excited to find a nanny to join their crew! At 1.5 years old, their son is growing up quickly and attends school one time per week to socialize and play. These first-time parents are loving life with their sweet son and are excited to grow their family in the coming years. Nestled between Newport and Laguna Beach, the family lives steps from the ocean and enjoy activities that are a short walk or trolley ride away.
• Travel is a big part of life for this family, both personally and professionally, and they love to explore. They take short domestic trips for work, and enjoy visiting international destinations like Japan whenever they have the chance! Someone who is excited to join them on all types of trips will be key. One parent works hybrid, coming to and from the office, and the other works from home in a set-apart office. They prioritize family time whenever possible, and comfortability collaborating with parents will be key!

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for someone who is excited to join this warm parenting team in caring for their 1.5-year-old (and future kids!). The family is excited to find a nanny who brings a spirited and educationally-minded approach to each day, and can prioritize speech development. Someone who is animated, playful, and activity-minded will be a great fit! The family appreciates a non-toxic living environment, and are hopeful to find a candidate who aligns with this. They are open to providing guidance and purchasing products for a candidate to use in and out of their home. The family is accompanied by chef a few times each week, and a collaborative spirit will go far in this home!
• Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, ocassional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
• Valid driver's license
• Valid passport
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for toddlers
• Travel experience
