CLOSED - Organized, Travel-Loving Rotational Nanny Needed For Family In San Francisco

An active, travel-oriented family of four based in San Francisco is seeking a professional, organized rotational nanny to join them in caring for their two children!

• Location: San Francisco, CA
• Ages of children: 5 and 1 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit! The family would love to have their nanny in place by October 2022.
• Schedule: Rotational schedule of 1 week on, 1 week off. Daily schedules during on weeks will typically begin at 6:30/7am and end at 7pm. Flexibility to adjust daily schedules for evenings, overnight care, and travel (which the family does frequently!) will be essential for the right person.
• Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $100-120k/year dependent on candidate experience. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, matching 401k contributions, and a vehicle for professional use.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out

Household dynamic:

• A down-to-earth family near the Presidio is excited to add a rotational nanny to join their household team! They have two children, ages 1 and 5-years-old, and their parents are excited to expose them to as much as possible, so they can discover their passions! The eldest is described as being dynamic, active, and loves to learn. They thrive in a Montessori school environment and the family aims to mimic a similar structure at home. The youngest is almost 1 and already crawling! They are very happy and love to be out and about, exploring the world.
• The family spends about 6 to 8 weeks a year traveling, often for weekend trips or longer vacations to beach destinations like Hawaii, and enjoy having their nannies join them on their adventures. They love sports, exploring museums, and spending time together as a family. As dual-working professional parents, they enjoy being present in their off time and spending as much time with their children as possible. Both parents work from home several days per week, and the family has a fully-staffed home. Candidates who enjoy working in an always tidy, semi-formal, and organized home environment will excel in this role!

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for someone who is eager to care for young children and work in a collaborative and organized team environment! A candidate who is experienced in working with the early toddler through early elementary ages and is excited to cultivate a nurturing and stimulating environment for their two children. The family has previously worked well with candidates who are communicative with parents and staff, intuitive, safety-focused and experienced in creating a consistent and structured environment.
• Responsibilities include fostering an environment for the children to grow and thrive, collaborating with parents and staff, preparing basic meals for children, child-related housekeeping and laundry, and pitching in as needed with family assisting duties or errands!
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would be excited to meet candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, Montessori background, or ROTA nanny experience.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license
• Valid passport
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
• Family assisting experience
• Travel experience
• Experience working in a team or fully-staffed environment
• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
