CLOSED - Organized & Engaged Nanny/Family Assistant Needed For Thoughtful Boston Family

A happy, energetic Boston-based family is seeking a supportive nanny/family assistant to join them in caring for their children and home!

• Location: Chestnut Hill, MA
• Ages of children: 4 years old, 18-month-old twins, and a baby on the way this August! The candidate will partner with a parent daily, and sole charge care of all four children will not be expected.
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit.
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 52.5 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:30pm. Flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, and travel will be asked in advance and appreciated!
• Compensation: The family is offering $40/hour based on the 52.5 hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $122k/year. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance. A vehicle will be provided for professional use.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out.

• This thoughtful, soon-to-be family of six is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and professional nanny/family assistant to join their family. Their three children are described as being joyful and engaged, and they love pretend play and get along quite well! The family values a screen-free environment for their children and looks forward to working with a candidate who aligns with this approach. Their eldest child is in school full-time, while the twins are part of a nursery school co-op. Someone who brings a strong confidence and ability to take direction well will thrive in tag-teaming with a parent each day, ensuring the needs of the children and home are met.
• The family largely travels around school breaks and holidays, visiting family and other residences in the US and abroad! They look forward to their nanny joining them. One parent works from a home office, while the other will be a partner in caring for the children during the day and has a reduced workload. They are excited about finding someone passionate about childcare who can seamlessly integrate into their family life and that they can build a mutually supportive, professional relationship.

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for a candidate with strong communication skills who brings positive energy to each day. Someone who brings an intuitive, calm, see-a-need-fill-a-need mentality to the role will be an excellent fit for this family. When mom is caring for the children she looks forward to someone who can jump into family assisting work and ensure quality family time for their family. Someone who is naturally organized and has a knack for multitasking will be a good fit for this dynamic role.
• Nanny responsibilities include providing attentive and nurturing care, activity planning, homework assistance, morning and bedtime routines, meal preparation, and driving children to and from activities. Family assisting duties include children’s laundry, household cleanup and organization, errands, grocery shopping, and packing/unpacking for trips.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with someone who has previous family assisting experience and/or is excited to cook for the whole family!

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
