A welcoming family of three based in Mount Vernon, NY is seeking a proactive, professional, and intuitive nanny to join them in caring for their children!
- Location: Mount Vernon, NY
- Ages of children: 3 and 1.5 years old
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
- Schedule: Full-time rotational schedule of 1 week on/1 week off. Candidates will be responsible for 24/7 coverage while on duty.
- Compensation: The family is offering an annualized base compensation of $90-105+k/year based on the rotational schedule.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including health insurance, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-in while working, a private bedroom and en-suite bathroom within the family’s home. Live-out during off weeks.
Household dynamic:
- This loving dad is seeking a professional, proactive, and engaging nanny to join his family team in caring for his two young boys! The 3-year-old will attend preschool during the week starting in September, and when he’s not in school enjoys engaging in arts and crafts, playing outdoors and playing games, and listening and singing along to the music. The 1-year-old enjoys spending time with his big brother, eating, sleeping, and reading books.
- The family describes themselves as being creative, adventurous, and respectful. When not working or in school, the family enjoys taking a few week-long trips each year, so a candidate who brings travel readiness to their role will be appreciated! Dad spends most of his time working outside of the home and is excited to hire a nanny who is fun-loving, collaborative, creative, safety-oriented, can work within established routines and structures, and who can get on his children’s level! As the family is grieving the recent loss of a parent, the family along with a tight-knit household team consisting of a nanny and housekeeper, and with other nearby family support, have rallied together to navigate this challenging time and are eager to add a wonderful, supportive, and loving second rotational nanny to their team.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for someone who brings professionalism, strong intuition, and well-rounded support to the family, team, and young children! A candidate who brings flexibility, outside-of-the-box thinking, and is excited to support an educationally-minded environment will thrive in this role. Most important is a candidate who can be proactive while providing a safe and patient energy to the home. The family is excited to provide opportunities for classes and continuing education should a candidate be interested.
- A candidate who can support an orderly, structured environment will thrive in this role! This family values organization in their home, and will appreciate a candidate who aligns with this approach. Above all, the family is excited to welcome a candidate who is communicative, kind, and brings an abundance of patience and can-do energy to each day.
- Responsibilities include providing a joyful environment for their boys to grow and thrive, providing social and emotional support, basic children’s meal preparation, child-related housekeeping and inventory, and providing assistance with family administrative needs.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Comfortability planning and preparing basic meals
- Family assisting experience
- Experience working in a team or fully-staffed environment
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
