A caring and collaborative family of four in San Francisco, CA is seeking a nurturing, cheerful, and outdoorsy nanny to join them in caring for their 4-year-old and 2-year-old children!
- Location: San Francisco, CA

- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Mondays through Fridays from 8am to 6pm. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.

- Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. A housing stipend may be available for the perfect applicant.
Household dynamic:
- This kind, collaborative family is excited to add another Adventure Nanny to the team as their children grow and their current nanny transitions to a part-time role while she attends grad school after working with them for 4 years! The family describes their home as a comfortable space filled with a lot of love and fun, where their two boys can continue to develop intellectually and emotionally. Their sons are both very curious, interested in exploring everything, and thrive with child-led, project-oriented learning. Their 4-year-old attends school from 9-4 Monday-Friday, and their youngest attends morning classes on Tuesday and Thursdays, so the nanny can anticipate supporting pick-ups, drop-offs, one-on-one care of the 2-year-old, and ample time to prep during the week.
- When it comes to parenting philosophies, this family has an open-minded approach but has been very drawn to positive parenting and Montessori. Overall, the family deeply values togetherness and enjoys spending as much time as possible with one another, from cooking meals together to hiking to exploring the city together. Having just relocated back to San Francisco from the East Bay, the family absolutely loves being at the foot of the Presidio and within walking distance of parks, trails, bike paths, and more! Both parents work outside of the home, though they have made sure to prioritize family time and create joy in their home!
- The family values fostering an environment of communication and collaboration in their household, and they are excited to find a nanny who can exhibit these attributes and who feels like a part of their family unit, setting their children up to grow and thrive!
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for a candidate who loves to work with supportive and welcoming parents! As the boys are curious with a penchant for exploration and learning, the family would be thrilled to work with a candidate who is ready to turn a trip to the park or an arts and crafts project into a learning opportunity. This may include reading, singing, chatting, and going on fun outdoor and bike adventures!
- An optimistic spirit, an attentive mind, and a nurturing and loving demeanor will go a long way in this it-takes-a-village home. Comfortability in managing both children at the same time will be key in this role. This is a very childcare-focused position, though some light child-related housekeeping, belonging management, laundry, and meal preparation will be appreciated.
- While not a requirement for the role, a background in child development/education is a big plus for the family. The family also has multiple, city-and-kid ready bikes and would welcome a candidate who has an interest in getting around by bike during the day!
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of professional, full-time childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
- Educationally-minded and able to bring an educational bend to each day; background in child development/education is a big plus
This position is open to all Adventure Nannies candidates who are legally able to work in the US.
