A warm, relaxed family of 5 based in Burlingame, CA is looking for a kind and professional nanny to join their team as a 7 on/7 off rotational nanny!

 This engaging, kind, and fun-loving family is seeking an experienced while down-to-earth nanny to join their bustling and collaborative home! Their older child is heading to elementary school this fall and is a gifted learner who excels in math and has shown an early interest in coding while the two toddlers are kind, creative and silly. With many moving pieces, the household values keeping things as organized as possible and utilizes a housekeeping team, so the nanny’s additional duties will be focused around meal prep for the kids, keeping their play areas and bedrooms tidy, ordering supplies (anything from diapers to crayons), and keeping their clothes and toys organized. The family loves traveling when it is safe to do so, and enjoy spending long weekends or 1-2 weeks at a time at a vacation home, located about an hour north of San Francisco. They share a deep level of respect and appreciation for their nanny team and other household employees, and have worked diligently to create a work environment where people feel valued and welcomed. The family has one rotational nanny in place who they simply adore, and are excited to meet their counterpart! This role is perfect for a nanny who loves spending time in the great outdoors, both at home and while traveling! The family’s backyard is a nanny’s dream and is fully equipped with an edible garden, playset, hiking trail, and many other areas to explore. The family has fully embraced the Montessori mindset and are eager to meet a candidate who shares and exemplifies these values, and will support their children in child-led learning, creativity, and exploration. Experience working with similarly-aged children in previous roles is also a huge plus! Position Details

• Hours/Schedule: This is a rotational position of 7 days on, 7 days off. Flexibility for travel or to exchange shifts with the other rotational nanny may be asked in advance and appreciated. The family is open to other rotational schedules should the perfect applicant have another strong preference.
• Live-in/Live-Out : Live-out. The family is open to providing temporary accommodations for the first 30 days and a relocation stipend for relocation candidates.
• Compensation and Benefits: The family is offering $40-$45+/hour in addition to benefits including PTO and full health insurance.
• Start date: As soon as the family finds the perfect fit!
• Other Notes: Driving is required for this role and a vehicle will be provided while on duty.

Responsibilities

• Interact educationally and creatively with gifted and curious children
• Promote positive behavior and good manners
• Collaborate with parents and co-nanny to provide consistency of care
• Provide age-appropriate learning opportunities for young children, outdoors whenever possible!
• Assist with children’s meal preparation and organization of common areas
• Coordinate schedule changes and ordering of supplies with co-nanny, ensuring succinct hand-offs between rotational shifts
• Flexibility to travel with the family when it is safe to do so, both domestically and internationally

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional, full-time childcare experience
• A 4-year college degree
• Proven longevity in previous positions with a commitment to a career in childcare
• Experience creating structure, discipline and schedule in a warm and caring way
• Confidence caring for multiple children at once
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Willingness to work alongside a close-knit, professional household staff
• A proactive, organized, pitch-in mindset
• Passion for helping young children learn and grow emotionally
• Familiarity or experience with Montessori approach
• Background in education, experience working in rotational roles, and/or experience with multiples are all huge bonuses!
• Ability to swim and comfortability supervising children in and around water
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date and willing to take booster shots as recommended in accordance with applicable laws.
• Willingness to mirror the family’s COVID-19 precautions as requested.
