A warm and heart-filled family in Washington, CT is seeking a kind, spirited, and travel-ready nanny/ family assistant to join them in caring for their 6-year-old daughter!

This bustling family of three (and their chocolate lab!) lives life on the go. While they are primarily based in Connecticut, the family travels frequently for work and pleasure to their home in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and many other exciting national and international destinations! Described by her parents as bright and engaged, their 6-year-old daughter typically attends school in CT. These creative dual-career parents love immersing their daughter in a variety of life experiences, and often bring her along on their dynamic adventures, whether for a day at work or an exciting travel opportunity. The parents truly value finding a wonderful caregiver for their daughter and are moved to find a nanny/ family assistant with a can-do attitude and collaborative spirit.This position is ideal for a candidate who is experienced in working with elementary-aged children, is travel-ready, and thrives when wearing multiple hats! The family would love to find a teammate who is passionate about creating an environment that nurtures curiosity, a love for learning, and social-emotional growth for their daughter. A candidate who brings a unique perspective or special background (such as fluency in a second language like Spanish, French, or Italian, a musical background, extensive world travel, or other unique life experience or skill set) will be a valued addition to this family team. A hands-on candidate who helps the household thrive through assisting with healthy meal prep, household inventory management, and errands will be appreciated. Position Details

• Hours/Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40-45 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 12 pm to 8 pm. Flexibility for frequent travel and occasional evenings, and weekends with advanced notice will be key!
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in. The family is currently building private and separate nanny accommodations on their property, and are happy to provide nearby, live-out accommodations until the new accommodations are complete! Private and separate accommodations will be offered while traveling and when spending time in NYC.
• Compensation and Benefits: The family is offering $30-35+/hour, or $1400-1600+/week in addition to benefits including assistance with health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, and sick days. This totals an annualized compensation package in the $75-90k/year range depending on experience.
• Start Date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Other Notes: Driving is required for this role and a vehicle will be provided for both professional and personal use if required. A keen eye for safety at all times and especially while driving is imperative!

Responsibilities

• Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the child to grow and thrive
• Travel with the family throughout the year, occasionally for extended periods of time, and assist the family with planning and preparing for travel
• Research destinations and plan educational, enriching field trips and experiences while traveling
• Cook and prepare basic meals for the child
• Provide enriching experiences and activities beyond basic care with attention to new and unique experiences for the child!
• Work in tandem with parents to ensure continuity of care
• Various family assisting tasks including but not limited to light meal prep, tidying, organizational projects, travel preparations, inventory management, and light pet care
• Be a warm, nurturing, and engaging addition to their family

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional, full-time childcare experience
• A valid driver's license and passport
• An excitement to see the world and experience traveling domestically and internationally both personally and with nanny families
• Recent, applicable experience caring for elementary-aged children
• Creative mindset and proactive approach to planning activities and adventures
• Collaborative and team-oriented
• Dog Friendly
• Ability to exhibit good judgment and common sense, especially concerning child’s safety
• French, Spanish, or Italian language skills are a plus!
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
