Kind + Passionate Nanny/Family Assistant Needed For Social San Francisco Family

This energetic, organized SF-based family is seeking two nurturing and passionate nanny/family assistants to join them in caring for their children!

  • Location: Presidio Heights, San Francisco, CA
  • Ages of children: 1 and 3 years old
  • Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45-50 hours per week, with the hours falling on one of the following schedules:
  • Schedule A: Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm
  • Schedule B: Tuesday through Saturday from 12:30pm to 8:30pm
  • Compensation: The family is offering $45-50+/hour based on the 45-50-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $105-143k/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Flexible to live-in or live-out. If live-in, the family will provide an onsite suite with a separate entrance, including a private bedroom, bathroom, and small kitchen.

Household dynamic:

  • This cheerful and organized SF-based family is seeking two caring and passionate nannies/family assistants to join them in caring for their two children! At 3 years old, their oldest attends preschool three times a week. He is naturally inquisitive and enjoys being an active participant in his learning. He is fascinated by the world around him and seeks strategic approaches to handling different situations. Their one-year-old son is discovering his voice and enjoys giving hugs, exploring, climbing, and learning. He is most interested in balls, books, swinging, and social interaction. The family describes their children as very social boys who love to engage with those around them. They are curious, energetic, and thoughtful learners who respond well to empathy, loving and clear boundaries, and playfulness. They also have a calm and sweet dog, so a candidate who is comfortable around dogs is important!
  • One parent is regularly in and out of the home, while the other parent stays at home. They love to travel during school breaks, visiting family homes and charming destinations such as Aspen, Canada, and Cabo. Someone adaptable and confident in supporting families while traveling is essential! The family fosters an environment of respect and trust within their home and with their household staff which includes a housekeeper. A candidate who works well with others and maintains a collaborative, warm relationship with the family and staff will be a great fit.

  • This position is ideal for an attuned, empathetic, and organized nanny/family assistant who brings a nurturing and positive energy to caring for two curious children! The family seeks a team that creates a fun, playful, and structured environment for the children while maintaining kind and respectful boundaries. Since they are filling two roles, they look forward to taking a strengths-based approach with each candidate to fill their household needs and let candidates naturally thrive! The family seeks to build a team who can naturally connect with children, curating enriching and age-appropriate activities that foster their social and emotional development. They will appreciate someone seeking their next long-term role who is proactive and passionate in caring for both the children and the household.
  • Responsibilities include both childcare and family assistant tasks. Childcare responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, managing children’s schedules, occasional errands, school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties include running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks a second language. Someone with a working understanding of child psychology and conflict resolution would also be an asset!

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants through early preschool age
  • Family assisting experience
  • Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
  • Ability to physically lift 35 pounds
  • Comfortability in preparing basic meals
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
  • Dog friendly!
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19
