Based in sunny Miami Beach, this friendly family enjoys no shortage of outdoor activities and fun-filled days! The family loves to travel when they can, spending summers beachside in the Hamptons or skiing in Aspen, as well as heading abroad. They place an emphasis on fostering meaningful relationships with their caregivers and have a history of longevity in their home, their most recent nanny having been with them for 3 years. Their 5 and 3-year-old boys both attend school during the week and have infectious personalities. They love to head outdoors to jump on the trampoline, play soccer, go on a nature hike, and more. With the joyful addition of their 3-month-old daughter to the family, these work-from-home parents are eager to find a collaborative nanny to divide and conquer the day with them!This position is ideal for a candidate who is a team player at heart, who would thrive in an environment working closely with mom to tag-team the day to ensure the boys are supported and the home is running smoothly! The role will focus on providing support primarily for their two oldest children, so a candidate who can come to work prepared with a fun scavenger hunt or adventure will be key. These parents do not consider themselves micromanagers and are excited for their nanny to intuitively take the reins once they settle into their role. With an it-takes-a-village mentality in the home, jumping in to pick the children up from school while mom takes care of the baby or prepping meals while mom and dad spend time with the kids will all be appreciated. A down-to-earth candidate who enjoys variation in their days will fit in seamlessly in this home, as responsibilities may shift from day to day with the needs of the family and their routine.

Position Details

• Hours/Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40-50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Sundays through Thursdays from 11 am to 7:30 pm or similar. The schedule is very open and days can be flexible for the right candidate! Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and travel will be asked and appreciated.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out.
• Compensation and Benefits: The family is offering $35-40/hr in addition to benefits including a healthcare stipend, relocation assistance, and PTO.
• Start Date: Ideal start date in early January. The position will begin as soon as the family finds the perfect fit!
• Other Notes: Driving is required for this role and a vehicle will be provided for professional use.

Responsibilities

• Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children to grow and thrive
• Collaborate with mom to divide and conquer daily tasks
• Proactively intuit needs and jump on tasks once settled into the role
• Create and implement fun-filled, enriching activities for the children beyond basic care, and join them in activities outside such as soccer or jumping on the trampoline!
• Pitch in with household support such as general tidying, organization, running errands, and more, and encourage the children to do the same!
• Provide safe, reliable transportation for the children as needed
• Travel with the family as needed throughout the year

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional, full-time childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Proven experience caring for toddlers and early elementary-aged children (the family is happy to train on infant care)
• Confident caring for multiple children in a role
• Collaborative and comfortable working in a role with hands-on parents
• Flexible and able to travel with the family as needed
• Positive, pitch-in spirit!
• Confident swimming and caring for children in/around water is preferred
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
