Position Filled - Intuitive, Team-Oriented Nanny/Family Assistant Needed For Loving Family In Houston

A loving, on-the-go family of four is seeking a proactive, intuitive nanny/ family assistant to join their family team in Houston, TX!

• Location: Houston, TX
• Ages of children: 7 and 4 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40+ hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 11am to 8pm or similar. Flexibility to adjust the weekly schedule to accommodate evenings, weekends, and travel will be asked and appreciated with advanced notice!
• Compensation: The family is offering $35-40+/hour based on the 40+ hour/week schedule, which equates to annualized base compensation of $75-85+k/year dependent on experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including health insurance, vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, relocation assistance, and matching 401k contributions.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family may be open to offering a landing pad or monthly housing stipend for the perfect ideal candidate.

Household dynamic:

• Their 7 and 4 year old children are playful and love animals, including their two adorable pet turtles and labradoodle! The parents describe their 7-year-old daughter as being cautious and intuitive, and she bonds well with folks who are soft-spoken and sweet. Their 4-year-old son is laid-back and likes to go with the flow! Both children attend school during the week, and when they’re not in school they enjoy doing arts and crafts, being outdoors, reading, and sports like golf, t-ball, and horseback riding!
• These parents feel lucky to afford the opportunity to travel and give their children exposure to different places. They have homes in both Texas and Mississippi, and enjoy spending summers with extended family on the lake at their residence in Mississippi. The family takes several other trips each year, with upcoming destinations including a ski trip to Park City Utah and a trip to sunny Florida! The existing family team consists of an estate manager and housekeeper. Dad works outside of the house, and mom is a stay at home parent who will tag-team with the nanny to ensure the household runs smoothly. The family has a strong faith, and view themselves as loyal, understanding, flexible and generous. They are excited to welcome another person into their home and family team!

• Responsibilities include collaborating with parents, child-related housekeeping and light cooking, helping prepare for guests, assisting with daily routines, and taking kids to school and activities. Candidate should be excited to play outdoors and plan activities with the children, as well as travel with the family as needed. Someone who is happy to pitch-in where needed, and has a see a need, fill a need mentality will be valued.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has a bachelor’s degree or other educational background! The family is eager to welcome a candidate who above all can foster a caring, nurturing environment for their children and keep their household operating smoothly.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to obtain a passport upon hire
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
• Driving is required in this role and a vehicle will be provided for the ideal candidate while on duty
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Pet friendly! Willing to support light pet care
