CLOSED - Infant-Savvy, Travel-Loving Nanny Needed For Family In Austin, Aspen, And Beyond!

A laid-back and friendly family is seeking an infant-savvy, travel-ready nanny to join them in Austin, Aspen and beyond!

  • Location: Austin, TX and Aspen, CO
  • Ages of children: Baby is due in April!
  • Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45-50+ hours per week with the general schedule falling on Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 7pm. Flexibility for weekends and travel will be asked in advance and appreciated!
  • Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based on the 45-50+ hour/week schedule, which equates to annualized base compensation of $80-100+k/year dependent on experience
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for personal and professional use, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-in. The family will be providing accommodations in the form of a private and separate unit on property, or at a residence nearby their home in Austin. The family will always offer a private and separate bed/bathroom at all of their residences and while traveling.

Household dynamic:

    • These first-time parents and their friendly dogs are excited to welcome a baby to their family come April! They have newborn support in place for the first weeks with a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist, and are excited to add a full-time, long-term nanny to their team! The family travels often between their homes in Austin, TX and Aspen, CO and have a bustling, fun social circle of family and friends who they like to spend time with, whether around a great meal or for a spontaneous vacation. Both parents enjoy the flexibility to travel frequently to their home in Aspen and spend time in places like Europe and New Orleans. They are excited to find a nanny to join their loving crew and provide stability and support for their child for years to come!

Ideal candidate:

    • This position is ideal for a candidate who is newborn-savvy and is excited to travel and support these first-time parents from the baby to toddler stages and beyond! They are eager to find a partner in caring for their child and welcome a candidate who can share their wealth of expertise while collaborating on best practices as they learn more about what their baby needs! The family leans towards a child-led, screen-free, play-forward dynamic as they prepare to welcome baby.
    • The family hopes to work with a candidate who exudes a warm, down-to-earth, and professional while go with the flow vibe. Responsibilities include all aspects of infant care, including but not limited to caring for baby’s basic needs, maintenance of the nursery and common areas, travel prep, baby’s laundry, and inventory management. A candidate who is willing to pitch in with light family assisting duties and is a dog lover will be valued for years to come!

Qualifications:

    • 3 years of professional childcare experience
    • Valid driver’s license and passport
    • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
    • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
    • Experience traveling with families and children
    • Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care.
