Outdoor-loving first-time parents based in Denver, CO are seeking a collaborative, kind nanny to join them in caring for their newborn daughter!

  • Location: Denver, CO
  • Ages of children: 2 months old
  • Start date/Contract dates: June 2022
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40-45 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 5:30/6pm and Friday from 8:30am to 3pm.
  • Compensation: The family is offering $30+/hour based on the 40-45+ hour/week schedule, which equates to annualized base compensation of $62-75+k/year dependent on experience.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including 10-15+ days of paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance stipend, relocation assistance, and a vehicle for professional use based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family is happy to offer a private and separate bedroom, bathroom, and living area in their home for a temporary landing pad or a short-term housing stipend for the perfect relocation candidate.

Household dynamic:

  • This laid-back family of three, along with their cuddly mini-poodle mix, is looking forward to welcoming their first nanny into their family! At two months old, their newborn is all about walks, floor time, and eating, but her parents hope she will love the outdoors and exploring as much as they do! They are eager to instill values of kindness and acceptance in their child and hope to work with a nanny who is excited to partner with and guide them as they navigate the adventure of parenthood.
  • The family travels occasionally throughout the year, and would love for their nanny to join them on their annual ski and beach trips, or any other adventures! The family is hopeful to foster a welcoming, warm employment dynamic in their household, and hope to find a nanny who can support their daughter well into the toddler years. These dual-career parents will spend most of their time outside of the home during the day or working in a private, separate home office. A candidate who can take the lead on fostering a stimulating and warm environment for their daughter will be an asset in the years ahead!

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone who is flexible, infant-savvy, and excited to be a partner and guide to these first time parents! The family is hopeful that their nanny will go exploring and on outings with their baby, whether to the library, zoo, or a local park, so a candidate who enjoys getting out in the world with their charges will enjoy this role.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, as well as supporting child-related organizing, meal preparation, and laundry. A candidate who brings a developmentally-minded approach to their days will be valued!
  • The parents are excited to learn more about Montessori and baby-led weaning, so a candidate who possesses experience in either of these realms would be a wonderful support to this family.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
  • Comfortability preparing basic meals for the child
  • Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care.
