Fun-Loving, Travel-Ready Nanny Needed For Playful Family Splitting Their Time Between SF + Aspen

A playful, spirited family of four based in San Francisco is seeking an intuitive, fun-loving nanny to join them in caring for their two boys at home and on their travels!

• Location: San Francisco, CA and Aspen, CO in the summer
• Ages of children: 4 and 1.5 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45+ hours per week with the general schedule falling Monday-Friday alternating between morning shifts (8am-4pm) and evening shifts (1pm-9pm) or similar. Flexibility to provide date night, weekend, and travel support, along with a willingness to adjust the general working schedule when the family is in Aspen. Also while in Aspen, the family is open to a candidate working a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/2 weeks off. The family looks forward to designing a schedule that best supports all parties with their chosen candidate!
• Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based on the 45-50 hour/week schedule, which equates to annualized base compensation of $82-115+k/year range dependent on experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional (and potentially personal) use, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Flexible to live-in or live-out. At the family's main residences in San Francisco and Aspen, a private bedroom, bathroom, and living space will be provided.

Household dynamic:

• These two boys, ages 4 and 1.5, are loving, hilarious, kind, and lively. They enjoy spending time together playing and going on outdoor adventures. Their eldest’s favorite activities are cooking, reading, running, skiing, and playing with his trains. He attends half-day preschool 5 days per week during the school year, while their smiley, happy 1-year-old enjoys being out and about throughout the day! The family is planning on growing in the near future and is excited to find a nanny who can grow with them for years to come.
• This family loves to ski, hike, and play outdoors! There is never a dull moment in their household, and they love to maintain a busy schedule with seeing friends and going on family adventures. Both parents are in and out of the home regularly, and look forward to working with someone who is both collaborative and intuitive! They live in a beautiful part of San Francisco, surrounded by parks and with quick access to the beach. The family travels frequently to their second home in Aspen, as well as Europe and the East Coast. Travel readiness is key for this family!

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for someone who is patient, gentle, collaborative, travel-ready, and playful! The family is excited to work with a candidate who can teach their children new skills, do arts and crafts, play outdoors, and engage in their hobbies as they develop.
• Responsibilities include providing a safe environment for the children to grow and thrive, occasional children’s meal prep, light child-related tidying, and school pick-up and driving to activities as needed. A candidate who is a team player and open to assisting with occasional errands or family assisting duties will be appreciated! A candidate who is experienced with the toddler through early elementary years, and has experience reinforcing loving boundaries will be important.
• The family aligns with the Montessori approach, so a candidate who has a Montessori background or is excited to learn more about the philosophy will be an asset for years to come. Spanish language skills would also be a plus!

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license
• Valid passport
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
• Comfortability in preparing basic meals for children
• Travel nanny experience
• 3 years of professional childcare experience
