Fun-Loving, Developmentally-Minded Career Nanny Needed For Warm Brooklyn Family

A fun and lively family of three based in Brooklyn is seeking a nurturing, warm, and upbeat nanny to join them in caring for their baby!

• Location: Brooklyn, New York
• Ages of children: 6 months old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time guaranteeing 60 hours/week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm. A candidate who is open to providing overnight care 2 nights/week, can travel with the family and is flexible to meet the family’s daily scheduling needs while working will be appreciated.
• Compensation: The family is offering $30/hour based on the 60-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $109k/year depending on experience and the agreed-upon schedule.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and a MetroCard.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out with availability for overnight care 2x/week

Household dynamic:

• These loving and laid-back first-time parents welcomed their sweet and happy 6-month-old son this past spring and he is already sleeping wonderfully through the night!! Their son loves being read to and enjoys getting outside for walks to the park. This family is looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows initiative, and is a frequent and clear communicator. They hope to foster a close, warm, and trusting working environment in their home with their nanny! These busy dual-career parents work outside of the home most weekdays and look forward to working with a candidate who loves babies and toddlers and is excited to engage their child in creative, age-appropriate, and educational activities, and most importantly, laugh and have fun!
• Mom and Dad speak both English and French, and while not a requirement for this role, the family would love to meet a candidate who speaks French and can help the child develop this language. They also travel to Europe a few times a year and they look forward to meeting a travel-ready nanny who would be excited to join them.

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for someone who has infant and toddler experience, is self-sufficient, and enjoys creating an organized, structured environment. A candidate who is extremely responsible, has a high-level of care and awareness, and who can build an authentic connection with the baby will thrive in this position. Responsibilities include creating a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the baby to grow and thrive, managing sleep schedules, light children’s meal preparation, and child-related housekeeping and laundry. The family is hoping to find a nanny willing to stay overnight 2x/week and who is open to traveling with them a few times a year.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks French!

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid passport
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Experience traveling with families and children
