CLOSED - Experienced Family Assistant/Nanny Needed For Active Charlotte, NC Family

An engaging and respectful family in Charlotte, NC is seeking an organized and proactive family assistant and nanny to help care for their home and daughter!

• Location: Charlotte, NC
• Ages of children: 3 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Sunday through Thursday from 11am-7pm or similar. Occasional overnight and travel support will be asked for in advance and appreciated. The family will communicate any weekly schedule shifts in advance.
• Compensation: The family is offering $40-45/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $83-93k/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live in. The family will provide a private suite within their home.

Household dynamic:

• This active, spirited single mom is relocating to Charlotte, NC, this spring. She is excited to work with an experienced family assistant/nanny who can help make her home run more efficiently and support her daughter’s growth and development. Mom describes her daughter as being an inquisitive, curious, and active child who loves to dance, sing, work on puzzles, play soccer, and bake. They have almost 100 puzzles and love working on them together! The child attends Montessori school full-time. They also have a medium-sized dog who is part of the family.
• Mom works primarily from home and looks forward to working in a collaborative environment alongside a candidate who is forward-thinking, decisive, and able to handle a variety of tasks. This home prioritizes little screen time and a lot of music and dancing! Mom is always trying to engage her daughter’s mind and encourage creativity.
• In addition to traveling for work a few times per year, this family enjoys going on vacations as well and is currently planning a 4-week trip this summer with destinations like Australia, Thailand, Paris, and NYC. Candidates should be willing and excited to join them.

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for an experienced and organized self-starter with excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset seeking a long-term commitment. Someone with integrity, a passion for childcare and household management, and a love of travel will be valued! The candidate should be confident in collaborating with a hands-on parent and comfortable working independently to make decisions and initiate tasks. Someone who is savvy and able to navigate airports, big cities, and complex situations will be valued. The child is in speech therapy to help with a slight speech delay, so the family will appreciate working with a candidate who has good elocution and leads with love and patience.
• Responsibilities include creating a loving and consistent environment for the child to grow and thrive. Child-related tasks include but are not limited to driving the child from school and to activities, tidying, organizing children’s areas, running errands, after-school routines, and coordinating activities. Family assisting responsibilities include researching and scheduling activities, light pet care, meal planning, grocery shopping, taking the dog to the vet, coordinating with vendors and other staff, calendar management, packing and unpacking for travel, traveling with the family, etc.
• While not a requirement for this role, the family would love to work with a candidate with Montessori experience or a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of professional childcare + family assisting or household management experience
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Experience traveling with families and children
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
• Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
