This adventurous first-time family in Oakland, CA, seeks an attuned and experienced nanny to support their newborn’s development and join them on exciting travels!
- Location: Crocker Highlands, Oakland, California
- Ages of children: 3 months old
- Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- Compensation: The family is offering $38-45/hour based on the 50-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $104-129k/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
- Live-in/Live-out: Flexible to live-in or live-out. If live-in, an ADU with a living room, kitchen, and bathroom will be provided.

- These adventurous and organized first-time parents are seeking an infant-savvy, adaptable nanny to join them in raising their newborn baby boy! The family prioritizes a peaceful, relaxing vibe at home and likes to go with the flow. They would love to work with a candidate who can smoothly integrate into their family and become a comfortable and trusted member of their parenting team. Someone caring who can support their son’s early growth and development will be a great fit! They also have a very sweet dog, so someone who is pet-friendly and willing to support light pet care is important.
- This is a dual-career household where both parents work from home in a dedicated office and will be regularly in and out of the home throughout the day as they manage their professional schedules. Both parents have been on leave from work and are preparing to return soon. They are seasoned travelers who have visited 60 countries! The family is eager to share their passion for traveling with their son and hopes to find a nanny who would love to join them on adventures! The nanny can expect to travel both domestically and internationally with the family for a few weeks each year.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for someone who is an attuned, dedicated, and experienced nanny who is excited to foster an infant’s growth and development while supporting first-time parents! Someone who can provide a nurturing and loving environment, filled with age-appropriate activities, and help their baby meet milestones will be a wonderful addition. The family also hopes to work with an adaptable, collaborative candidate who is open to assisting Mom with some family assisting duties while she is on parental leave through May. A candidate who brings a calming presence in their day-to-day who can naturally integrate into their family routine will thrive in this peaceful and warm household.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks a second language, preferably Spanish, and/or is comfortable supporting full-family meal prep.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants
- Openness to family assisting duties
- Experience traveling with families and children
- Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid passport
- Dog-friendly!
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
