CLOSED - Enthusiastic, Team-Oriented Weekend/Travel Nanny Needed For Bustling Virginia Family

A lively family in McLean, VA is seeking a team-oriented weekend and travel nanny to join them in caring for their two young children!

• Location: McLean, VA
• Ages of children: 4 and 6 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40+ hours per week with the general schedule falling on Friday through Sunday from 8am to 8pm or similar. Flexibility for travel, evenings, weekends, and holidays will be required for this position!
• Compensation: The family is offering $45-50/hour based on the 40+ hour/week schedule, which equates to annualized base compensation of $95-105+k/year dependent on experience
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, relocation and/or housing assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out

This family values working with the children’s best interests in mind, and they like to challenge themselves to constantly learn new skills, build new relationships, travel new places, and ultimately never stop growing and learning. They are hopeful to give their children every opportunity possible to discover new talents and passions as they grow older!
• The family enjoys fostering a collaborative and professional environment in their home and they are excited to work with a candidate who is experienced and skilled at working in a team environment and who is receptive to feedback. The nanny will partner with another co-nanny, household manager, and parents regularly. The family has a history of longevity and life-long relationships with their household employees, and they are excited to find another wonderful nanny to join the ranks!

A nanny who is a self-starter with an excitement to plan activities, adventures, and try new things will be a wonderful addition to their family team.
• The candidate will be responsible for traveling with the family, planning and coordinating activities, child-related housekeeping, communicating and working with other household staff, light child-related meal prep, and being a general pillar of support in this bustling household!
• Flexibility and strong communication skills are extremely valuable to the family, as well as someone who possesses a calm confidence! Previous experience traveling with families or a Bachelor’s degree is a huge plus for this family.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Experienced and seasoned traveler
