Household dynamic:

  • This busy and business-oriented family loves life with their 3-year-old, and are excited to welcome their second child this summer! Their 3-year-old is described by her parents as being playful and activity-loving! She loves everything from reading stories and listening to music at home, to going on hikes and visiting local museums. Their NCS is moving on from her role after working as their nanny for the last years, and they are excited to find a ROTA nanny team who can support them! The family will be working with an NCS for 6 months in July when their baby is born.
  • Both parents are in and out of the home regularly, and they also work alongside a team that includes an assistant, an estate manager, and housekeepers. They enjoy regular travel throughout the year, and candidates can anticipate joining them in locations like Miami, Hawaii, Europe, and on the East Coast. The family has two sweet dogs at home who will not require care from the nannies, though dog lovers should apply!

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone who is excited to bring magic and delight to the children’s everyday adventures! The family is excited to work with nannies who bring a worldly, educationally-minded approach to each day and have experience supporting an infant and preschooler in the same role. Candidates who proactively plan their days while leaving room for child-led play will be key. Someone who is equipped to support children in managing their emotions, who can be thoughtful about including children in preparing meals and introducing new foods, and help with potty training and manners will be key as their children grow! Confident and down-to-earth candidates with a step-in/step-out mentality will thrive alongside the family for years to come.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child(ren) to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to healthy gluten free/dairy free meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, driving children, managing before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who holds a bachelor’s degree and/or is familiar with the Los Angeles area.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and passport
  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Experience caring for an infant and toddler/preschooler in the same role, and experience with the developmental milestones associated with these ages
  • Experience traveling with families and children
  • Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
  • Dog friendly!
  • Standard vaccinations
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
