  • Start date/Contract dates: September 15th, 2022, or as soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 50-60 hours per week with the general working hours falling Monday-Thursday between 8:30am - 5:30pm and Fridays from 8:30am - 10pm. Flexibility to adjust hours to cover additional evenings, travel with the family, and provide occasional weekend support with advanced notice will be greatly appreciated!

They are also looking for a weekend nanny but flexibility to provide backup support when needed will be greatly appreciated.

Household dynamic:

  • These open and welcoming first-time parents are excited to find a live-in nanny to support their family of three! This family welcomed their daughter in June of this year and describe her as a bundle of joy. Along with support from their Newborn Care Specialist, their baby is thriving alongside her parents. The family lives near Central Park and enjoys spending time outdoors, especially at the zoo and nearby playgrounds. The family relocates to East Hampton in the summer and when they have the chance, they love to travel both domestically and internationally. A candidate who is NYC-savvy and excited to join the family both in the Hamptons during the summer work weeks and on their travels will be key!
  • The family looks forward to fostering a warm, respectful, and welcoming employment environment. Both parents have fond memories of their nannies growing up and remain in contact with them to this day. They hope to re-create a similar experience for their daughter and look forward to meeting their future nanny!

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in an energetic environment, is a self-starter, and wants to provide an enriching environment to nurture their child’s natural sense of curiosity for years to come! A candidate who is confident in working with infants and can help maintain the routines set in place by the family’s newborn care specialist will be key. Above all, the family hopes to work with a nanny who is loving, respectful, educationally and developmentally-minded, and conscientious.
  • Responsibilities include creating a stimulating environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related tidying, children’s meal preparation when the time comes, sanitizing bottles, traveling with the family to their home in the Hamptons, and other locations, as well as planning outings and activities!
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has a passion for and background in Early Childhood Education!

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience, including infants
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
  • Willingness to spend at least weekdays in the Hamptons from Memorial Day through Labor Day
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws.
