Position Filled - Confident + Professional Travel-Ready Nanny Needed For Bustling Chicago Family

A bustling, active family of four based in Chicago is seeking a professional, flexible, and travel-ready nanny to join their family team!

• Location: Chicago, IL
• Ages of children: 7 and 5 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: 40+ guaranteed hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday and with typical working hours falling between 12:00pm and 8:00pm. This family travels to exciting destinations frequently (with much advanced notice!) so flexibility for schedule changes based on school/work schedules, overnights, and travel will be asked and appreciated!
• Compensation: The family is offering $35+/hour based on the 40 hour/week schedule at home, and flexing up to 60+ hours/week when traveling, which equates to annualized earnings of $100-125+K/year dependent on experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including PTO, a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live on property. Private and separate nanny apartment provided on the family’s property to maximize conversation and flexibility for all. The family is open to exploring a live-out option for the perfect candidate.

Daily environment:

• This active, outdoorsy Chicago-based family loves to stay on the move! The family enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities from camping, to golfing, to hitting the slopes, they are always down to go off the beaten path for a new adventure. The dad works from a private home office, while mom goes to the office most days.
• This family travels frequently throughout the year for both work and pleasure. With many moving pieces in their home, these kind parents are eager to find a nanny who can support their children and be a beam of support in their home.
• The children are described by their current nanny as being “busy, silly, sweet, and fun big kids!” Both children attend a local Montessori school during the week. The 5-year-old is currently attending school half days and will be transitioning to full days in the fall so someone who is open to some family assisting support during school days will be appreciated. The children love animals and have their very own fIsh and sea monkeys at home!

This family has developed deep, family-like bonds with their caregivers in the past and is looking for a partner in their nanny and someone who will join their household for years to come!

Must haves:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Experience working with elementary-aged children
• Ability to travel with the family frequently throughout the year
• Experience with fully-staffed homes, travel-ready families, and collaborating well in a shared care environment are all huge bonuses.
• Strong swimmer and comfortable caring for children in and around water
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
