Household dynamic:
- At 3 years old, the family’s toddler son is described by his parents as being sweet, loving, and active as can be! He enjoys playing outside and living life on the go. He attends school in the morning on weekdays. When he’s not at school, he loves listening to music, creating art, cooking, playing golf, bike riding, yard work, and cleaning. A candidate who enjoys working with young children, and is experienced with channeling toddler energy and figuring out a discipline style that works well will be a valued member of the family team! They are excited to welcome their second child to the family this summer and will have a Newborn Care Specialist supporting them through this exciting transition.
- This family is loving, private, busy, and seeking a nanny who can join them as a discreet and valued member of their care team! The family has a very gentle lab at home and both parents are in and out of the house during the day. The dad has a busy work schedule and travels frequently for business. The family enjoys traveling for a few weeks each year, and is currently building a summer home in nearby North Carolina, so a candidate who is eager to support occasional travel will be appreciated! The family is excited to meet a candidate who can support their family and be a loving caregiver to both of their children!
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for someone who brings flexibility, compassion, and a can-do attitude to their role! A nanny who is excited to support the household as a whole, and goes beyond child-related duties will thrive in this role for years to come. Someone with experience partnering with a stay-at-home parent, is comfortable collaborating with the family’s newborn care specialist and housekeepers, and who is experienced with the newborn through pre-K years will truly enjoy working with this kind family and their young children!
- Responsibilities include basic healthy meal prep for the children (a big plus for a candidate who is open to family meal prep in addition!), family assisting duties, tidying and children’s laundry, light pet care for the family’s dog, and providing a stimulating environment for their young children to learn and grow! The family is excited to hire a candidate who can balance household organization and responsibilities with providing loving care to their children.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
- Comfortability preparing basic meals for the children (and ideally occasionally for the whole family!)
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
- Experience traveling with families and children
- Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
- Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care.
