A warm and loving Brooklyn-based family of three currently sheltering in place in Greenwich, CT is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and creative nanny to care for their 1-year-old!
This caring family, while typically based in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, has enjoyed spending their summer near family in Connecticut with room to spread out and enjoy the beach! They have been taking COVID precautions seriously, though that doesn’t stop them from enjoying their time with one another and making the most of their time in beautiful Greenwich. Their 1-year-old is very curious and chatty! He loves getting to know people, animals, and is very observant. They typically travel when it is safe to do so, including trips to Europe and spending the holidays in CA. The family plans on relocating back to Brooklyn once it is safe to do so, most likely sometime in 2021, and are seeking a candidate who can shelter in place with them while in Connecticut and transition into a live-out role once they return to NYC!This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys all things toddlers, from enhancing his already advanced vocabulary to finding creative, developmentally-minded activities throughout the day! A candidate who is mindful when it comes to COVID-19 safety precautions and who can be flexible and adapt alongside the family as they navigate the pandemic will be valued and appreciated. Their toddler is bright, sweet, and active, and the family would love to find a nanny who is passionate about creating an enriching, nurturing environment for him. Preparing healthy, simple meals for him in the family's gluten-free home and pitching in with child-related household tasks will also be appreciated! The family hopes that their future nanny will enjoy traveling with them in the future when it is safe to do so.This is a full-time position guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Fridays from 9am to 4pm. Flexibility for 1 to 2 evenings per week along with travel coverage will be asked and appreciated. This position will be live-in while in Connecticut until the family returns to Brooklyn at which point the position will transition to live-out. Live-in accommodations in CT include a private guest suite in a separate house near the family’s home with a separate entrance. The family is offering $30-35/hour depending on experience level, as well as assistance with healthcare, PTO, and sick days. This position is open to all Adventure Nannies candidates who are legally able to work in the US and possess a valid driver’s license and passport. The family is happy to consider relocation candidates for this position.
