Compassionate, Intuitive, And Committed Nanny Needed for Active Family In Connecticut

A warm, active, and loyal family in Greenwich/Stamford CT is seeking a loving, supportive, and collaborative nanny to join their team!

• Location: Greenwich/Stamford CT
• Ages of children: 9 and 7 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling Tuesday through Saturday. The candidate can anticipate working 8 hours/day with some days being 9am-6pm, and others 11am-8pm. The family’s schedule is solidified and provided to the nanny at least two weeks in advance, and the candidate will always have two consecutive days off/week.
• Compensation: The family is offering $30-35/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $62-73k/year range dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance based on candidate's need and the full benefits package. The family will provide a vehicle for professional use.
• Live-in/Live-out: Flexible to live in or live out. If live-in, the family will provide a private bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette in their home.

Household dynamic:

• This dynamic family consists of four humans, two dogs, and one fish in Greenwich, CT. The two daughters are the greatest joys of their parents' lives. The oldest is almost 9 and loves to read, swim, dance, and hang with friends. She is so sweet--all heart, all hugs. The youngest just turned 7 and is spicy and spunky! She loves theater and field hockey. She is all soul and asks the big questions. Both girls are in school full days, but have a lot of activities after school like piano, soccer, swim, dance, and more! The family’s dogs keep them on our toes too, they will be 4 in January.
• Mom is a busy student working on her master’s degree and is also working outside the home a few days a week. Dad commutes to NYC for work and is in and out of the home during the week. As a family, they enjoy having a solid schedule, but they also like a day when they just hit the road for an adventure, or stay inside and watch double features! This family has a lot going on, but they are warm, hard-working, energetic people who are hopeful to find similar qualities in their nanny.

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives in an autonomous role, while still enjoying a warm, supportive, welcoming work environment. A nanny/family assistant who can intuitively predict the family’s needs is not afraid to jump in, and has a detail-oriented mentality will be valued in this home. Being a positive role model and fostering a supportive, nurturing environment for the children will be priority number one! A playful candidate who isn’t afraid to head outside and join in with a sport in the backyard or who can assist with homework support will be appreciated. A candidate eager and excited about fostering an honest and communicative relationship with the parents is key, as they hope to keep an open line of communication and have strong collaboration.
• While the children are in school, the family would love to work with a candidate who can jump in with organizational tasks and family-assisting support such as grocery shopping, pet care, tidying up common areas, and healthy meal prep for the children. Driving is required for this role and the candidate will provide safe and reliable transportation to and from school and activities.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Comfortability preparing meals for the entire family
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
• Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care
