CLOSED - Collaborative, Detail-Oriented Nanny Needed For Fun-Loving Connecticut Family

A loving and creative family in Connecticut is seeking a warm, nurturing, and organized nanny to help care for their children!

• Location: Westport, CT
• Ages of children: 5, 2.5, and almost 1 year old! Care will primarily be for the younger two as the older child will begin kindergarten in the fall.
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm or similar. Additional hours for evening, weekend, or travel converge will be asked for in advance and appreciated.
• Compensation: The family is offering $35/hour based on the 50-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $100k/year depending on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits such as paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance based on the candidate's need and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live out. The family is open to providing a temporary landing pad for the perfect relocation candidate.

• This family of five is looking for someone to join their fun-loving crew! They describe themselves as being schedule-oriented, loving, fun, and creative and they look forward to working with a nanny who shares those qualities. Their 5-year-old daughter loves playing outdoors, being creative with arts and crafts, reading, and playing with her siblings. She is very excited to begin kindergarten full-time in the coming school year! Their 2.5-year-old daughter enjoys trying to keep up with her big sister and will be attending a preschool program part-time this fall. At 10 months old, their son is busy growing and exploring the world around him. They also have a sweet and spunky senior dog who is very much a part of their family!
• Both parents work primarily from home and they love that the flexibility allows them to be a part of the kids' day-to-day lives. Their ideal nanny will collaborate with them on schedules and activities so that everyone can do the things they love most. In their spare time, this family loves theater, music, adventures in nature, trying new foods, and exploring their beautiful town. While they haven’t traveled much since their third child was born, they look forward to being on the go in the future and would love for a nanny to join them!

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for a caring and compassionate professional nanny with a keen eye for detail and solid communication skills. Someone with strong time management and organization who understands the value of routine for small humans will thrive in this role. A candidate who loves supporting imaginative play (the kids adore putting on a show!), is excited to lead them on kid-friendly hikes and adventures and can help the children foster a sense of self-confidence and independence by encouraging a fun approach to chores and household responsibilities will be valued. This family is very much a team and they expect their kids to do their part! Lastly, this family keeps a Kosher home and they ask that their nanny respect the rules in their kitchen. They are happy to train on this!
• Responsibilities include creating a safe and loving environment for the children to grow and thrive! This includes but is not limited to, planning enriching activities, engaging in imaginative play, supporting daily schedules and routines, collaborating with the parents, frequently driving the children to and from school or activities, and child-related household tidying and laundry.
• While not a requirement for this role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish or has a background in early childhood education.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants, toddlers, and early-elementary-aged children
• Dog friendly!
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws
