An on-the-go family in Silicon Valley is seeking a professional and positive nanny to join them in caring for their 2 and 4-year-old children!

  • Location: Los Altos Hills, CA
  • Ages of children: 2 and 4 years old
  • Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling 5 days/week from 9am to 4pm. The family looks forward to designing a schedule that works well for all parties, and is open to a Monday-Friday or a Tuesday-Saturday schedule, or a combination of the two. An applicant who is open to overnights, date nights, and travel with advanced notice will be appreciated!
  • Compensation: The family is offering $40-55/hour based on the 40 hour/week schedule, which equates to annualized base compensation of $85-115k/year dependent on experience.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance, a retirement savings plan with matching, annual bonus opportunities, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family is open to providing a temporary, need-based landing pad for a perfect relocation applicant.

Household dynamic:

  • These sweet 2 and 4 year old children are an active and fun-loving bunch! The 4-year-old participates in a wide variety of activities, doing everything from learning chess to horseback riding to swimming lessons and will be transitioning to full-time school with kindergarten starting next year. Both children attend a local nursery school part-time.
  • This semi-formal family of four is seeking a loving, kind, caring and professional nanny to join them in Silicon Valley. They have a second home on the coast, and enjoy traveling frequently to Europe, Orange County, and the East Coast. They most typically bring the children along on their travels during school breaks. This family has a bustling team dynamic in their home, and this role will work closely with the parents while officially reporting to the estate manager for things like scheduling and planning. They are excited to find a wonderful nanny to join their family team!

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a career nanny who is organized and thoughtful in their approach to care, and has a keen eye for safety at all times! A candidate who brings a calm, professional, and even-keeled energy with the ability to pivot and prioritize new tasks and goals as they come will be key.
  • The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing care for toddlers and Pre-K aged children and eager to seek out additional professional development opportunities! The family loves to provide a wide range of activities for their children, and would love a candidate who wants to jump in and support their kid-forward household.
  • Responsibilities include planning age appropriate activities with a focus on learning and development, managing the children’s calendar, light meal prep, child-related housekeeping, tidying kid’s spaces and occasional family assisting duties as needed. Excitement for working with a team and previous experience in a similar environment will be pivotal for a candidate to thrive in this role!

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • A 100% clean and positive driving record
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
  • Experience traveling with families and children
