CLOSED: Bi-Coastal Artistic Family Seeking Joyful, Creative, Educationally-Minded Nanny

A loving, artistic family is seeking a joyful, creative, and educationally-focused nanny to join them in caring for their 3.5-year-old in New York, California, Maui, and beyond!

• Location: New York, California, Maui, and beyond!
• Ages of children: 3.5 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday-Friday from 12pm to 8pm. Flexibility to travel with the family to their different residences and on vacation-style travel is a must for the perfect applicant!
• Compensation: The family is offering $50-55/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $105-115k/year range dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family is open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, relocation assistance based on candidate need, and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in. A private and separate bedroom and bathroom will be provided at all destinations. In some locations, this will be a private nanny residence on the family’s property. For a perfect, travel-ready candidate, the family is open to a live-out set up in NYC or the Bay Area.

Household dynamic:

• This adventurous, globally-minded family is excited to find a nanny to support them at home and on their many travels! At 3.5 years old, their daughter loves dressing up, dancing ballet, playing soccer outside, and listening to and making music. She is even beginning to learn to play the piano! On weekdays, she attends preschool and other activities like music lessons, soccer, and ballet.
• The family describes themselves as artistic and joyful, and on their many travels, they love to get out and surf. They split their time between homes in New York, California, and Maui and have a hypoallergenic dog. Frequent travel is to be expected, as this family enjoys a travel-ready lifestyle. Someone who is excited about the many travel opportunities and is flexible to join in whenever possible will be appreciated!
• Both parents are regularly in and out during the day and the family works with a house manager, housekeeper, and backup childcare providers so a candidate who is collaborative will thrive in this family’s team environment!

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for someone who is educationally minded, joyful, travel-savvy, and a team player! A candidate who brings extensive experience with the preschool through early elementary years will be valued for years to come! Someone who can bring their own passions and experiences to the role and find ways to nurture an artistic, educational environment will fit right in with this family.
• Responsibilities include creating a stimulating environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related inventory management and housekeeping, light children’s meal preparation, family assisting tasks like grocery shopping, traveling frequently with the family, and being a pitch-in member of the team!
• The family would love to work with a candidate who brings an ECE (or similar) educational background, has worked as an educator/tutor, and/or someone who possesses a musical and/or artistic background! As the family speaks Spanish and German at home, a candidate who brings bilingualism in one of these languages would also be a plus!

Qualifications:

• Valid passport
• At least 3 years of professional childcare and/or teaching experience in a classroom or homeschool setting
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Willing to support some family assisting responsibilities while the child is in school
• Experience traveling with families and children
• Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care.
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
