**Details Updated 11/1/2021** A joyful, adventurous family currently based in Bloomington, IL (and expecting to relocate within the year) is seeking a kind-hearted, warm, and self-starting nanny/family assistant to join their family!

With their current homebase in an idyllic town about 2 hours away from Chicago, this on-the-go family loves to hit the road and travel whenever possible throughout the year, and as they look ahead to the future they anticipate potentially relocating within the next year for a new adventure! They are an active family that loves to spend as much time as possible outdoors and appreciating all it has to offer; they feel their children are at their best when they’re being active outside! Their three boys, aged 5, 3, and 2 years old are loads of fun and very bright. They love to break into kitchen dance parties, do science projects, play outside with their yellow lab, or hop on their scooters for a ride around town. Their 5-year-old is in kindergarten while his two younger brothers are in Pre-K. They are eager to find a warm-hearted nanny/family assistant who can be a partner to these busy parents and feel like a member of their family for years to come.This position is ideal for a candidate who is game for adventure! A candidate who thrives with a day full of fun family hikes, scavenger hunts in the yard, or creative at-home activities during rainy days will fit in seamlessly with this activity-oriented family. The family deeply values gentle parenting techniques that sets their children up to thrive with loving boundaries and kind role modeling. Mom and dad are excited to feel like partners with their nanny/family assistant to tag-team the day and ensure the home is running smoothly. They hope for someone who is just as comfortable getting outside with the kids as they are planning for trips or pitching in with various family assisting tasks, especially while the children are in school. Pitching in with light tidying and meal prep, organizational projects, inventory management, and more will be appreciated. Position Details

  • Hours/Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45-50 hours/week with typical working hours falling on Mondays through Fridays between 8am to 8pm. A candidate who is travel-ready, flexible, and open for additional hours, evenings, and weekends with advanced notice will be key!
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-in. Accommodations include a private bedroom and bathroom within the family’s home. Private accommodations will be provided while traveling.
  • Compensation and Benefits: The family is offering $30-35+/hr DOE in addition to health insurance, PTO, relocation assistance, and a museum membership, resulting in an annual compensation package of $100k-$125k+/year.
  • Start Date: The position will begin as soon as the family finds the perfect fit!
  • Other Notes: Driving is required for this role, and a vehicle will be provided while on duty.

Responsibilities

  • Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children to grow and thrive
  • Research, creatively implement, and be an activity participant alongside the children in fun-filled, growth-minded activities beyond basic care
  • Bring an energetic spirit and readiness for outdoor adventures and travel!
  • Various family assisting tasks including but not limited to light meal prep, tidying, organizational projects, travel preparations, inventory management, and light pet care
  • Travel with the family throughout the year, occasionally for extended periods of time, and assist the family with planning and preparing for travel

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of professional, full-time childcare experience
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Recent, applicable experience caring for toddlers, Pre-K, and early elementary-aged children
  • Experience, confidence, and enjoyment for working with multiple, fun-loving children in a role
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, excited to partner with parents to ensure continuity of care and the household runs smoothly
  • Confident swimming and caring for children in/around water
  • Flexible and able to adjust to changes in routine and to travel with advanced notice
  • Energetic and ready for outdoor adventures
  • Desire for longevity will be valued, including interest in relocating with the family in the near future
  • Dog friendly!
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
