CLOSED - Warm + Nurturing ROTA Nanny Needed For Educationally-Minded, Outdoorsy Boca Raton Family

This loving and engaged Florida-based family is seeking an attuned and learning-oriented ROTA nanny to join the crew!

• Location: Le Lac, Boca Raton, Florida
• Ages of children: 4 and 6 years old
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, rotational schedule of 1 week on/1 week off. Candidates can expect to provide 8 to 10-hour coverage while on duty. Flexibility for weekends, travel, and occasional overnight coverage will be key!
• Compensation: The family is offering an hourly rate equivalent to $125-150k/year in annualized earnings based on the rotational schedule.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out preferred. The family is happy to provide an onsite landing pad if needed for the perfect relocation candidate!
• Other Notes: The family is not open to fly-in/fly-out candidates at this time.

• This playful and outdoorsy Florida-based family is seeking a warm and nurturing nanny to join them in caring for their two boys. They work hard to create a loving and calm home for their children with a strong emphasis on academics while fostering and nurturing the emotional intelligence of their sons. The family described their 6-year-old as an old soul who is curious and loves sports and learning. He often recruits his mom, dad, or nanny to join him for basketball, baseball, or to toss a football around in the yard. He enjoys memorizing baseball stats, chatting about math, and reading through children’s encyclopedias. Their 4-year-old son loves arts and crafts. He’s passionate about all things cars, trucks, and airplanes and loves to express himself through arts and building. The family hopes to find a nanny who can promote a positive and loving environment for the children that encourages learning through play and emotional intelligence in equal measure. The family also has two beloved dogs so a candidate who is pet-friendly and comfortable around them is important.
• These hands-on parents are regularly in and out of the home as they go about their days. They value quality family time and enjoy immersing themselves in nature and outdoor activities, as well as traveling to locations such as Costa Rica and Deer Valley during the winter. The family also spends extended summer trips in a vacation home in Cape Cod. They would love a candidate who can support the family during their travels. A candidate who is team-oriented and cooperative and able to maintain a harmonious relationship with family and other household team members, including their other rotational Nanny, full-time housekeeper, and house manager, will be key.

A candidate with a calm and gentle demeanor who can foster both of the children’s love of learning through creative and engaging activities will be a wonderful addition. The family appreciates someone who can connect what the children learn at school with interactive activities at home. They are excited to meet someone who can effectively communicate, understands positive parenting, and can support the family’s focus on emotional development while setting age-appropriate boundaries. A candidate who is experienced in caring for preschool and grade school-aged children will be valued!
• Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, including but not limited to children’s meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, light pet care, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
• While not a requirement the family would love to work with a candidate who holds a bachelor's degree in childhood education or related field or who has experience with positive parenting.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for preschool through grade school-age children
• Experience traveling with families and children
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid Passport
• Pet-friendly!
