This loving Bay Area family seeks a dedicated, resourceful nanny/family assistant to support their two energetic children and dynamic household!
- Location: San Francisco, CA
- Ages of children: 3 and 7.5 years old
- Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45-50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, or similar. Flexibility for shifts in the schedule, including coverage during early mornings and evenings 1-4 days per month, will be requested in advance and is key for this role.
- Compensation: The family is offering $43-50/hour based on the 45-50 hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $106- 143k/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Their 7.5-year-old is in second grade, while their youngest, at 3 years old, attends preschool during the week. They occasionally travel to Napa for a long weekend and take two big international trips per year to vibrant destinations such as Japan, Spain, and London. Dad also travels for work a few days every month, so someone flexible to an earlier start on a few days per month will be key! They would love to welcome an adaptable, travel-ready nanny to join them on their travels to provide attentive and confident childcare while also supporting the family. The family also employs a weekly housekeeper, so someone who can work harmoniously with the family as well as their other household staff will be beneficial.

- Responsibilities include childcare and family assisting tasks. Childcare responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties are running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar. The oldest child has a peanut allergy, so someone who is confident navigating that will be essential.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks a second language, ideally Spanish, Portuguese, Xhosa, or Zulu, and/or is comfortable preparing meals for the entire family.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with preschool through early elementary school-age children
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable driving in San Francisco
- Open to supporting full family laundry
- Family assisting experience
- Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
- Experience traveling with families and children
- Longevity in roles
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
