Household dynamic:
- Based in beautiful Marin County, in the San Francisco Bay area, this affectionate family describes their home as warm, fun, and homey. Their 5-year-old daughter is in kindergarten at a local Waldorf and loves dancing, singing, playing dress-up, putting on performances, baking, and being creative with arts and crafts. If rainbows and unicorns are involved, she is happy! This family practices positive discipline and values having an open dialogue about feelings and being consistent in routines, expectations, and rules. A tight-knit, blended family, dad, and two other kids are currently living abroad and will return to California in the fall at which time they will add additional nannies to the team to support the other children. The family prioritizes a screen-free life for their children, so a candidate who is creative, engaging, and emphasizes nurturing the child’s interests will be a great fit for this family. This family also has a pony and a sweet dog, so animal lovers please apply!
- Both parents are busy professionals who are in and out of the house regularly, and they have a fully staffed household that includes a full-time executive assistant, a full-time house manager, a full-time chef, a full-time cleaning staff, and future co-nannies. They are also lovingly supported by grandparents nearby, who jump in to provide overnight coverage when mom travels without her daughter. The nanny will have additional paid time off on these occasions!
- Travel is a big part of life for this family and they look forward to working with a nanny who is experienced and excited to join them. Destinations include Costa Rica, Utah, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Sardinia, Colorado, and beyond!
