An organized, athletic Bay Area family is seeking a Nanny/Family Assistant to join them in caring for their two young children!
- Location: Atherton, CA
- Ages of children: 3 and 2 years old
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Thursday through Sunday or similar, with typical working hours falling between 6am and 7pm. The family is excited to build a mutually beneficial schedule with the right candidate.
- Compensation: The family is offering $60-70/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $124-145k/year dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: The family will provide benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family may be open to offering a housing stipend.
Household dynamic:
- This tight-knit, team-oriented family of four loves spending considerable quality time together, and they are excited to welcome another member into the mix. Their charming girls are 15 months apart and the best of friends. Their parents describe them as active, curious, creative, and kind! The girls love taking adventures to the woods to see the animals and hike while Mom and Dad trail run. They would love assistance in enabling these adventures! They have a beloved family cat, so pet friendliness is key.
- As a family, they love to travel and hope to take more international adventures with their nanny alongside them. They spend ten days per quarter in Hawaii and plan to travel more (domestic and international) as their girls get older. Both parents work from home in separate home offices, and the family also works with a weekday nanny/family assistant. They are hopeful to find a long-term match!
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for someone who can be a role model to two young, growing children! The family is excited to work with a candidate who can support their children’s education and help them develop into wonderful humans. Someone who is team-minded and excited to be active and outdoors alongside their busy toddler and preschool-age children is key.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including—but not limited to—meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before- and after-school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties include running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, and household organization.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who enjoys cooking and/or has a degree in an education-related field!
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with preschool-age children
- Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
- Pet friendly! Willing to support light pet care
- Valid driver’s license
- Family assisting experience
- Valid Driver’s license and passport
- Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19
