A joyful, nomadic family who splits their time between Rincon, Puerto Rico, Princeton, NJ, and Nantucket, MA is seeking a nanny/family assistant to join them in caring for their two young children!
- Location: Puerto Rico, Princeton, NJ, and Nantucket, MA.
- Ages of children: Almost 2 years old and 6 weeks old
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as possible!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday - Friday from 8-6pm. A candidate who is flexible to support some earlier days, nights, and weekends, will be appreciated. The family travels frequently, so travel readiness is key!
- Compensation: The family is offering $30-35/hour based on the 50-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $85-100k/year range dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a vehicle for professional use, health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-in. A separate apartment with a kitchen will be provided in the family’s Puerto Rico home, as well as a separate home in Princeton. During travel, there will be a separate bed and bath provided.
Household dynamic:
- This unique and dynamic family is excited to find a nanny to join their family this fall! The parents just welcomed their second child this summer, and are enjoying life as a family of four. Their son, who is turning two years old this November, recently started attending Montessori school and the family is eager to continue a Montessori approach and encourage his independence!
- The parents are in and out regularly and like to maintain a relaxed, unassuming vibe at home. They love to be outside (lots of ocean and pool swimming) and engage their children’s growing interest in music, all things balls, and reading! They feel fortunate to split their time between three beautiful locations along with a few other trips during the year and look forward to working with a candidate who is just as excited about their travel-ready lifestyle.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for someone who is excited to help their children grow and explore independently while also setting clear boundaries! The family is looking to partner with a loving and proactive caregiver who can fit seamlessly into their family, anticipate their children and family’s needs, and play a major role in managing their household. A candidate with a high social IQ and a can-do attitude will thrive in this home.
- Responsibilities include creating an independent and warm environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related housekeeping, light meal preparation, a willingness to assist with family laundry, as well as family assisting duties and pitching in where needed. The family runs several businesses and rental properties, and would be glad to incorporate some related duties into a candidate’s role if desired!
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has live-in nanny experience, speaks Spanish, or has newborn experience.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license
- Valid passport
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
- 3+ years of professional childcare experience
- Comfortability in preparing basic meals
- Experience traveling with families and children
- Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
