Travel-Loving, Playful Rotational Nanny Needed For Outgoing + Kind New England Family

East Coast

A travel-ready, caring family of four based in Bedford, NH is seeking an outgoing, friendly, and collaborative rotational nanny to join their team in caring for their 3 and 1.5-year-old!

  • Location: Bedford, NH
  • Ages of children: 3 years and 14 months old
  • Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule: Rotational schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. The candidate will provide 24/7 on-call coverage during on weeks with the majority of working hours falling between 7am-7pm.
  • Compensation: The family is offering an hourly rate equivalent to a base annual compensation of $100-115k/year dependent on experience based on the rotational schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation range commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: The family is providing benefits including a healthcare stipend, multiple opportunities for bonuses including incremental retention bonuses throughout the first year of employment and beyond, holiday bonuses, and as-earned discretionary bonuses. The family is always excited to reward great work with extra things like first-class round-trip airline tickets for a personal vacation, and other generous benefits while traveling.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-in while working with private and separate accommodations provided on the family’s property, and live-out during off weeks. The family may be able to provide accommodations during off weeks for the right candidate and is open to a candidate who will fly-in and fly-out for their work weeks.

Household dynamic:

  • This family calls their home base New Hampshire about an hour outside of Boston, MA, but loves to travel to their other residences including spending winters in Vero Beach, FL and the holidays in Chicago. They enjoy fostering an environment filled with love, laughter, great food and family time wherever they go. While their life can be fast-paced with a bustling schedule, they value a laid-back, supportive environment at home.
  • Their 3-year-old is loving, energetic and talkative. He attends preschool 5 days/week between 9am-12pm. Their 14-month-old  is nonstop smiles, is described as cute as can be, and is always on the move. Both children love reading and snuggling, and are wonderful sleepers. The whole family is excited to welcome a second rotational nanny to their team who can provide loving, nurturing care for their preschool and toddler-aged children.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a candidate who is skilled at creating a fun, silly, and playful environment in a bustling home! The family is seeking a nanny who is excited to engage in activities like taking their toddler outside, heading to the bookstore or the park, or exploring new exhibits at the museum.
  • A collaborative, team-minded nanny will thrive in this home when working alongside this wonderful team of caregivers; mom is excited to partner alongside their nanny to tag-team the day. The family hopes for a nanny who is comfortable with both toddlers and infants in order to play an integral role in the children’s growth.
  • A step-in and step-out intuition will be valued; being able to transition to provide household support while the parents dive into family time will be key, such as grocery shopping, children’s meal prep, tidying and organization, and more. Flexibility and excitement to travel will also be important for this family who’s always ready for an adventure, whether it’s to Europe or the Caribbean!

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
  • Previous experience in a rotational role is highly preferred
  • Background in education and/or supporting children with special needs, specifically those on the autism spectrum, is a big plus
  • Recent, applicable experience caring for toddlers and infants, and confidence caring for multiple children in a role
  • Flexible and able to travel with the family frequently throughout the year during on week
  • Collaborative and team-spirited to work with parents and caregivers
